Ubuntu server, any cool ideas?

I ended up installing Ubuntu server to make a TF2/CSS server, but then no one playing in my server because, well, I don't know or care.

Anyways, I wanted to do something cool and useful with my server...any ideas?

here's what i came up with:

-Asterisk/FreePBX
-Media server (so I can listen/stream my music to laptop/phone/etc, also need some recommendations for this, too many to choose from)
-Minecraft server, LOL?
-Perform automatic backups?
-F@H
-???

I'm only running P4 3.0 ghz/512 mb ram, so keep that in mind.

Is it set up so that you could set it up as a webserver for a small site?

That would be the best thing imo.

i have webhosting, i wouldn't mind installing LAMP, but i've heard the ISP sends out nasty letters if you've got traffic on port 8080, even if its a small site.

Not so flashy, but it will help many users in countries with censored internet access. Set up a TOR relay.

Hmm. It depends on isp a lot. On AT&T they don't care, on comcast they are anal

oh WOW. that i can do. and would LOVE to do. seriously, i can't tell you how awesome it is to have uncensored internet in the US... this is awesome.

i'm running a headless server though, so i need to get some cmd line installation instructions.

Lol, do you have a static IP if you are using a standard ISP?
