Hello TL, I am an avid reader and was wondering about everyone's reading lists/recommended books to read. I am always looking for more stuff to dive into. Usually I like reading philosophy and non-fictional stuff, but I enjoy everything. Looking for suggestions for my reading list. Below is a majority of my reading list with checks by ones I have read. Let me know if there is some good stuff out there that I should get my hands on.

These are in no particular order, I just sat down for 20 minutes one day and made this list. If I had to pick favorites, Classical philosophy would be at the top followed by everything else. lol

Hmm, very nice list. If you don't mind I'll suggest a few of my favorites (those that aren't in this list)

Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein - You'll really like this.
The History of Love - Very emotional, well-written novel.
Revelation Space (trilogy)- Alistair Reynolds - if you're into scifi, this is "hard" scifi at its finest.
Dune - Frank Herbert. 'Nuff said
Othello - William Shakespeare
Any short stories by Flannery O'Connor
Starship Troopers - Robert Heinlein - Don't let the movie fool you, this is a really good book.
If you can stomach it, Paradise Lost. Religious Epic Poem

1984 is a great book, and everybody should read it and see how its being implemented today.

There was a thread not too long ago with lists 'of books everyone should read.' If you've got extra time, you could probably comb through and maybe find some stuff that would interest you. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=185607

For my personal recommendations:
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (Saw you had some other books by Rand on your list. I've read Anthem and it was good, so if you like that you might like this.)
Poetic Edda and Prose Edda (They're two books that are all the Norse Mythology stories. They're good reads if you're interested in the subject.)
Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes (When you read it, you have to know that it was written as a sort of joke to make fun of all the books being written at the time about knights and chivalry.)
Also, just in general, the works of Mark Twain and H.P. Lovecraft. Both great writers.

Hope I helped some.

Looking at your list, I think you would definitely enjoy Letters from a Stoic - Seneca.

"A philosophy that saw self-possession as the key to an existence lived 'in accordance with nature', Stoicism called for the restraint of animal instincts and the severing of emotional ties. These beliefs were formulated by the Athenian followers of Zeno in the fourth century BC, but it was in Seneca (c. 4 BC - AD 65) that the Stoics found their most eloquent advocate. Stoicism, as expressed in the Letters, helped ease pagan Rome's transition to Christianity, for it upholds upright ethical ideals and extols virtuous living, as well as expressing disgust for the harsh treatment of slaves and the inhumane slaughters witnessed in the Roman arenas. Seneca's major contribution to a seemingly unsympathetic creed was to transform it into a powerfully moving and inspiring declaration of the dignity of the individual mind."
