GSL 2011 January Finals!

IM_Mvp v MarineKingPrime.WE
Game 1: Scrap Station
+ Show Spoiler +
Both players expand after their first barracks. Interestingly, MarineKing gets his two refineries immediately thereafter, and it is Mvp who gets two more barracks. Mvp is the first aggressor, breaking down the rocks to MarineKing's natural before siege mode finishes. MarineKing is forced to lift off at his natural before his tanks regain the the position. Mvp retreats and transitions into a standard marine/tank/medivac army. MarineKing starts building a fairly heavy mech composition of tank/hellion/viking. Mvp takes the gold base, which is quickly spotted. MarineKing drops four pre-ignited hellions in Mvp's main, but Mvp's splitting minimizes the damage. MarineKing gets further and further behind due to Mvp's unanswered gold base. Eventually Mvp has more tanks and more vikings, and when MarineKing's hellions don't do enough damage to MVP's marines, Mvp is able to slowly siege push across the map.

Interesting that MarineKing decided to mech. It seems like a bad idea, as the one thing MarineKing seems to have over Mvp is his unique style.

Mvp wins, 1-0
Game 2: Metalopolis, cross positions
+ Show Spoiler +
Mvp one-barracks-expands. MarineKing decides to hide his first command center behind the smoke at the close main! But Mvp's scv survives way too long for MarineKing to be one basing, so he scouts right to the hidden building! Mvp sends some marines to take care of it, but MarineKing sneaks it out to the gold base! MarineKing uses his economic advantage to get six barracks for a large bio army. Mvp goes for marine/tank/medivac. MarineKing expands to his natural. Mvp drops MarineKing's main, killing a lot of scvs. But he also attacks the golf with a marine squad, killing almost everything but the orbital command!
Mvp moves out with with main army. He sieges up at the Watch tower, forcing MarineKing to abandon the gold permanently. MarineKing tries to counter-attack, but Mvp senses it and flanks MarineKing's army, completely destroying it. Mvp uses his army advantage to take out MarineKing's natural while dropping his main. MarineKing tries his patented giant-drop-into-base-trade, but Mvp is plenty ready for it, and kills the medivacs with marines. MarineKing gg's.

Mvp is looking dominant so far. Scouting that hidden command center was godly. It was clever of MarineKing to float the discovered command center to the gold, but Mvp went on to completely squash everything else MarineKing tried to do.

Mvp wins, 2-0
Game 3: Xel'Naga Caverns
+ Show Spoiler +
MarineKing one-barracks-expands. Mvp gets two quick barracks. MarineKing's great small-army micro saves him from Mvp's first wave of marines, despite have one less barracks producing units. Mvp expands once the early pressure fails. MarineKing techs up to starport for marine/medivac. But Mvp just gets up to four barracks and attacks a little while later with a 20-12 marine advantage. MarineKing's medivacs have not yet come out, and Mvp is able to straight up kill MarineKing's orbital with no losses at all! Mvp just retreats, starts his shields/stim, and techs to medivacs of his own. MarineKing builds up a little bit and pushes all in with his marines, medivacs, and scvs. But Mvp has a better position and more units, so, despite having only one medivac to MarineKing's four, Mvp is able to easily hold. MarineKing gg's soon after.

Continued one-sided ownage by Mvp. He just somehow always seems to know exactly what to do to beat MarineKing.
Game 4: Blistering Sands
+ Show Spoiler +
Championship point. Both players are feeling the heat, spamming up to 350 apm at the beginning of the game. Mvp expands after teching to factory. MarineKing gets one barracks, expands, then two barracks (TRR) in his patented style. After his first marine/hellion poke is repelled, Mvp transitions into marine/tank. Marine stays on bio, but bizarrely runs all of his units into sieged tanks in the middle of the map. Mvp uses his advantage to roll into MarineKing's natural, siege up, and destroy everything. Mvp plays it safe. He retreats and sieges up in the middle of the map to avoid a flank through the back rocks. After macroing off an extra base for a while, Mvp attacks into his opponent's main with marine/tank. MarineKing goes for a desperation attack through his back rocks, but Mvp easily repels it. MarineKing gg's, crowning Mvp as the first terran GSL champion.

MarineKing looks despondent in his booth until Mvp comes in and they embrace. There isn't much more to say about this series. Maybe MarineKing accidentally gave Mvp vision? Mvp beat MarineKing is every single engagement and seemed superior in every aspect of the game. I went back and counted: MarineKing manage to kill only three of Mvp's building for THE WHOLE SERIES. He killed a bunker, a supply depot, and a refinery that Mvp let burn down by mistake. I think that fact essentially encapsulates the series.

Mvp sweeps MarineKing 4-0, is the first terran GSL champion.
Game 5: Shakuras Plateau, close positions
+ Show Spoiler +
Not needed.
Game 6: Lost Temple, close-by-air postions
+ Show Spoiler +
Silly puns not needed either.
Game 7: Jungle Basin
+ Show Spoiler +
Interesting that MarineKing was involved in both the only finals to go 4-0 and the only finals to go 4-3.

As usual, any feedback is much appreciated!

I usually put the map names for all games guarenteed to happen, and for none of the games that might not happen, because otherwise I have to make up the positions also. But in this case, your right, it makes it look pretty obvious. Thanks :-)

+ Show Spoiler [Endymion's Super Baller Summary] +

Foxer gets wrecked, outclassed, and bopped by MVP, then cries in his booth.
Have you considered the MMO-Champion forum? You are just as irrational and delusional with the right portion of nostalgic populism. By the way: The old Brood War was absolutely unplayable

MKP's hidden CC in game 2 was silly. He was obviously trying to expand to that base in a sneaky fashion but clever players would scout there quickly because I've seen occasionally people build starports there for banshee harass, ala MKP v. Jinro on JB where he built the starport close to Jinro's expansion. Obviously he should have hidden it at the 6 o clock base instead.

in short:
+ Show Spoiler +

g1: MVP attacks with more marines than MKP expects and takes a game-winning advantage.
g2: MVP scouts a hidden expo and proceeds to abuse its location for the win.
g3: Same as game 1.
g4: MKP loses about 20 food by poor choice of engagements. MVP pushes forward with his army advantage and wins.
