I personally never got into Nendoroids or Figmas, though I think I recently acquired my first Nendoroid through Dengeki G's magazine; I've yet to open the box it came in. + Show Spoiler + And I'll admit that the majority of my collection borders a certain fan service line. >_> My favorite figures would be the ones I'd never display openly... mostly from Native.

It's really geeky, but I kind of love buying the random boxed singles of puchis. There's something quite rewarding about managing to complete a set, and I just use any doubles as presents for my overseas friends.

Airi the sexy scythe wielding maid, Queen's Blade: + Show Spoiler + Megurine Luka with Tako on her head: + Show Spoiler + Mercedes from Odin Sphere: + Show Spoiler + Momohime from Murumasa: The Demon Blade: + Show Spoiler + Nanael the happy angel from Queen's Blade (Her wings are really awesome): + Show Spoiler + Nida with her massive gun: + Show Spoiler + Yoko, probably my biggest figure at 1/6 scale (and a price to match since I missed the release). Some people don't like the face on this version but I think shes sexy: + Show Spoiler + I want my Nendo Miku already, hurry up GSC :> I have plenty more figures and I want to take more photos of the ones I have in better lighting and in more interesting places. Hopefully I can do this tomorrow after work. It's 1AM right now so I need to get some sleep or I'll be a zombie for work

The original illustrator is known for his pin-up girl style, but most figures of his designs are done by mid-level manufacturers (Yamato and Kotobukiya). Nida is one of the few that include the illustrator's skin coloring, and it makes a big difference.

Heh yeah, Nida was actually my very first figure. I was a big fan of all the Yamashita artwork and when I heard there was actually going to be a figure of one the character designs I liked most I knew I had to have it One of the original drawings: + Show Spoiler + I'd say she's still my favourite figure. Yeah I have a Kotobukiya Shii Arisugawa and you are right, the quality of the GSC Nida is just miles ahead. Shii is still a nice figure but Nida is something else. I think Alter is a bit better than GSC overall but I like both companies equally. Mega House make some really great figures too. The GSC Racing Miku looks incredible, I can't wait. So many exciting preorders.

Less quality (still miles ahead of others) and way more expensive.

Very nice shoot of Alter's Chua Churam. For me the most amazing is the detail despite the smaller size of the figure. http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2008/f_alter_chua/ Even Alter's "simple" figures are extremely detailed. Personal favorite. http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2010/f_alter_harumi/ This is so cute. http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2010/f_alter_kudryavka/ The mother of figure boxes: Exelica (Alter has outdone themselves since then): http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2008/f_alter_exelica/ Saber Lily: IMO GSC's peak: http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2009/f_gsc_saber_lily/ And of course the Black Rock Shooter figures, despite the noise of QC problems (IMO blown up a bit out of proportion). http://www.happysoda.com/1129/black-rock-shooter http://www.foobarbaz.jp/figure/review2010/f_gsc_deadmaster_original/ http://www.happysoda.com/1348/the-brs-experimental-jet-set-trash-and-no-star

Yeah, Alter is definitely one of my favorite manufacturers. Good thing about GSC recently is a lot of their figures seem to be hitting the bargain bin. I already have enough BRS figures personally, but I wouldn't hesitate in picking up the half priced Deadmaster/animation BRS figure.

I'm hesitating cause I havent seen BRS yet and the fig alone doesnt impress me enough for me wanting to have it.

I know shes pricey but hell look at it, plus it's Alter. It's gonna blow everything away. I agree about GSC's peak being Saber Lily, she was my first figure and there're no flaws about her. Not even the price imho. Did you see how much she goes for nowadays? (20k+) I think Dizzy will be worth a lot in a few years.
