I'm just using a small hand pump for tricky bits plus a nice dusting cloth left over from my photography days. Yeah a can of compressed air makes dusting them really really easy. Can get into all the little crevices and it does a really good job. Only thing to remember is to keep the can upright when you use it and just aim using the "straw" because otherwise the air will have a freezing effect. As for figures.. I have quite a few, mostly 1/8th scale statues because I like it when they match. I do have a few 1/7 and 1/6 ones that were pretty expensive. I had to have them though  The statues I have are mostly Yamashita character designs, Queen's Blade or random video game characters that I liked. I think the Queen's Blade anime was boring as hell but I liked a lot of the character designs. I have a GSC Nendoroid Luka that is really cute, the little octupus head is fun to put on random things. New GSC Miku is still on preorder. I avoided Nendoroids for a while but once I got Luka I was converted, they are awesome. Sadly I missed out on Kagamine Rin  Hopefully there's a rerelease. I think one of the most fun aspects of collecting figures is finding the rare ones for a decent price. I've made a lot of ebay friends who will even try to shop around at stores in Japan for ones I am having trouble finding if I ask nicely enough. I'll post some pics of my favourite ones when my phone is charged. I really need to get a decent camera though. Figures are awesome!
Thanks for the tips :D We've got the Luka Nendoroid here and the Yongsan Hobby Square has it on display. I'm tempted to buy it next month depending upon my budget and what trading figures have come in by then.
That's precisely how I feel about buying photobooks and magazines too. There's something really rewarding to me about coming across a rare find for a good price. It's like getting bargains when food shopping (I'm such a housewife lol.) I really love stores like Book Off and Mandarake due to the second-hand element. It replaces the lack of charity shops/thrift stores here which I loved back home.

Yep, that's the Lucky Star/Street Fighter mash up set. It came as a cute 4-pack for just a little more money than one of the 3-packs :D Unfortunately the 'Ken' figure's stand is too small for her, so she kind of drunkenly topples over upon a regular basis.

Unfortunately my Korean bank card makes shopping online kind of impossible, but the prices here aren't too bad, so it's okay. I just wish we'd get more of a range of figures. The focus is heavily skewed towards Gundam, NGE, and One Piece - none of which I like enough to collect figures/models for them. The fun thing is finding something totally unexpected such as the Kamen Rider trading figures that turned up last week. I ended up buying an entire box plus the 3 loose ones they had on display. (I didn't get the one I wanted the most, but I got the other 2 I really wanted.)
Those racing Mikus are beyond adorable. I love the details and how many cute and varied expressions she has. The snow one is gorgeous too - I hope we get her (or any of the Vocaloid items tbh.) So far we've got - Queen's Blade, Fate/Stay Night, K-On, Haruhi, Black Rock Shooter and a couple of series I don't remember right now.

I love the eyes on that one. Seeing all these cute Vocaloid and K-on ones definitely makes me want to watch their videos. (*Only has 2 Vocaloid songs on her mp3 player.*)

I've been meaning to add a figma to my collection... That one is very tempting for the sole reason it has cats that could be friends with some of my other figures
The violin and other props are pretty awesome too.
Sadly I'd forgotten just how bad my phones camera was at taking close up shots... My mission this weekend is to buy a proper camera since I've been meaning to for ages. Any suggestions for a good ~$200 camera would be much appreciated.

I also had some cat props from some of the Bakemonogatari Puchis which I've added to her kitty collection. She's even got a tiny white kitten perched on her head now :D In that pose Miku looks like she's modeling an eccentric new hat.
I can't wait to see your collection too :D Randomly, I saw a couple of guys speaking English whilst I was in Hobby Square picking up my new figures. However, I was too shy to go and strike up a conversation :/ On the up-side it looks like I'm now considered a regular after about 8-9 visits. I got given a 15% off coupon and the girl who always serves me was really nice ^_^

Sooo cute. I don't buy a figma since before they changed the way they make them, they look so smooth now. God, I need to buy something so badly.
Also you should totally check some more vocaloid/k-on stuff!

Yes, her paint-job is really lovely. I also like the delicate way they sculpted her hair at the back (and the cute curl on her fringe.) Some of the faces of the Figma figures aren't to my liking, but since they're interchangeable I can just use another from one of my others once I build up a good collection :D
If you buy something then please post some photos :D
