'Kings of Tin' - Like many of you, I have a 2v2/Team Game partner who I've been playing with since the beginning of BETA. We're not terrible, we're not great... most importantly, we just like to have fun.
That philosophy lead to us calling ourselves the "KINGS OF TIN" as a joke because... sometimes we feel like we belong in the Tin league. We began to throw up a stream occasionally (labeling it the Kings of Tin), and to our amazement, people seemed to enjoy it. So then we thought, well what happens if we start bringing on prominent players to play with us?
ThisIsJimmy was our first "pro" guest, but we've had TL Staff, Chill, community members/casters, and even pulled people from the audience.
What resulted is Kings of Tin twice a week.
MONDAY KoT: This KoT session is "casual". We select SC2 community members who contribute in other ways, or we pull random people from the audience.
WEDNESDAY KoT: Our goal on Wednesday is to team up with a pro, and use him/her as our crutch to reach ultimate victory! It's also a great opportunity to see a pro-player in a more fun and less competitive environment. During downtime we interview, take questions from the chat, and also let people suggest strategies or things they'd like to see from our Pro.
Tonight is our 2nd official KoT(PRO) with ROOT.CatZ and if you've ever tuned into his stream, you already know how baller this guy is. I cannot wait to have him on for what's bound to be a really fun KoT.
Be sure to join us tonight for some epic 3v3 games with CatZ!
Feel free to leave suggestions for people/players you'd like to see on Kings of Tin (we've already got some big names lined up!)
NOTE: I've yet to make an official thread because we are still working out the details of the schedule from week to week!

I don't like Sc2 , I don't like playing it or watching it ... but this ... this is something else.
Kings of tin is defnately the best sc2 event I have seen.

CatZ is a really good choice for pro-partner. I glimpsed djWHEAT and incontrol conversing about coming on KoT over Twitter so hopefully we can expect that as well in the near future.
Plus I think Wheat's also going to be casting up a storm this weekend and maybe the return of some of the shows. this is how I like to start the new year; an unhealthy amount of wheat.

Kings of Tin is so good, looking forward to seeing Catz do some crazy strats. I want to see Catz infest a probe and build up a protoss+zerg mixed army

This should be rather interesting! LOL Probe parasite. Can they actually build when they are parasited? I don't think they can? Just due to the range and time limitation + damage np does to the unit.
If they can then that would be awsome. I've just never seen it done before.

You can with SCVs so I don't really see why you shouldn't be able to with probes

Yes it can be done. First time I did it I was so happy to have a bunch of zealots to throw away before my main Zerg army did its damage

OH! This is a good idea! When we start doing custom games in February this will be perfect :D
The reason we aren't doing custom games yet is because we're working on a way to be able to spec all players participating (currently we're locked to a single view). We've got some new equipment coming in that will help us pull it off, so I will pencil you in for a session in February ^_^

I know with Jimmy you guys rocked alot of 3v3's.
If you could PLEASE play one game of starbattle with Catz (If not now... maybe a future date). Man those were some funny games with his friends. Especially when Huk played with them too lol (Beginner's luck they said)

Dang, I didn't know Wacksteven was still around. Reminds me of the RadioITG days. I forget what the name of his show was, but I remember watching it (rather, listening to it) just as much as Epileptic Gaming v1. Nice to see him coming back around.

I would be interested in seeing more from root, QXC comes to mind. See if he can help you win more matches than Catz did!
Also with him it would be one from each race in the team, would be a nice setup.
