I wouldn't sports bet man, unlike poker you have no control over the outcome. Its a very risky proposition and is simply speculating. In my opinion there is no such thing as a good bet in sports betting.

Sports betting is very risky but there are some ways to make good money and that is to really study a league in something.

If you really know the entire English football league you can bet with more than 50% accuracy. Per average you win something like 1,5 X the money you put forth meaning you get as much money as if 75% of you bets were true and it was just money back (1/1).

Out forth a small amount of money for every match and you can make decent money from betting. It's mostly about luck if you want to win a large sum though.

well yeah there are some "sure" bets, e.g Argentina vs Latvia football match, ofc you will select that Argentina will win or draw, and lets say you bet 20$, and you get what like +2$ with bets like this, its just boring :S

Sports betting is all about analysis, a lot of reading, and discipline. I find that euro football is best in sure thing parlays and/or asian handicap. I hattttteeee betting the 1x2 lines. As for American sports football you have to know where the money is going and where the smart money is in order to do well. Basketball you have to pick games by looking a the traps for teams. Baseball is all about pitchers. I love betting hockey but haven't done it in a long time.

In all honesty, you can have just as much control over profiting with sports as you do with poker. You just need to have all of the correct information in order for you to have "control" over the outcome.

hmm. For some reason i realy doubt that analysis helps thats much, when things go wrong and teams concede goals at like 92-93mins when game is like over, thats just bad luck and doesnt matter how much analysis you did, nothing will help I started to like basketball 1st half time bet(wich team will win 1st half) but then again, things can go wrong and lebron can miss 10 shots in a row and you will lose lol. And IMO under/over bet is probably the best one with a little information how much each team scores and concedes, you can select like 5 bets with <3.5 and win nice money

but what happens if you run each game 100 times? how often will lebron lose 10 shots in a row?

Honestly, I bet weekly on american football (NFL) with a small amount and I'm breaking dead even (still got one more week left though). Personally, I think that no matter how much you research or read into stuff, you're never going to have a guaranteed "gimme" game. There's never a gimme game =(. That's why it's considered gambling. However, I do put in significant amount of effort to get as much information as I can on the games that I think have high chances of winning. It's still very hard though, sigh.

Oh my God. Is English your first language?

Regardless, you have no excuse for typing that way.

Why don't you play sports, get good at them, and then bet on yourself?
Or if you're too lazy, this is apparently a big and safe place to go: http://www.sportsbook.com/

The analysis still helps obviously, flipping a coin and taking a 60/40 are two very different things, even if you have a high chance of losing at both in the short run.

In the long runs things should go exactly like things should go and then you'll have won 60% of your wagers instead of the random 50% from flipping coins.

This is exactly how people profit at poker as well, the very best players can have long losing streaks vs absolutely awful people, the chances of losing money are however less than gaining and hence you can estimate profits even if it doesn't always come to fruition.

Lebron may miss his 10 shots but if you're betting he hits more than half and he on average say hit's 75% of them or whatever it's obviously a good bet, as long as you can afford it.

Do you want to be excited or do you want to make money?
These are the bets you should cleanup, not bet on latvia and lose 20 dollars.

yea yea, but still can you imagine how long it will take to get to like 50$ if you start with 10$ :S and do those "safe" bets every time :S each bet is like + 1.50$ and you have to risk everything you have, so it can end realy badly if something goes wrong lol

Great job, you've discovered that it's not easy to make any sort of profit with gambling.]

Honestly, how much money did you really think you would earn with betting?
