Check out the community section. As for what you want to see it depends, do you want to do the whole touristy thing? Check out Statue of Liberty, Empire State, walk Broadway T.Square that sort of stuff? Or more like walking St. Marks/MacDougle, going to a williamsburg bar etc? TBH the touristy stuff you could probably do in a day or 2, NYC is amazing if you know how to get the most out of it. If you bring a shitload of $$ it's one of the coolest places to shop around for stuff, theres also a bunch of really fancy clubs and bars/lounges (meatpacking district). If you're kinda strapped for cash then I recommend more Williamsburg kind of nightlife, it's generally cheaper. As for partying/clubbing it depends what kind of stuff you're into, for dubstep i always check this place out: linkuuuu and look around club websites that i like for example webster hall. I highly recommend the Museum of Nat. History and Metropolitan Museum of Art, I'm personally not a big fan of modern art (omg a circle on a blank page BEAUTIFUL!!!) but if that tickles your pickle MOMA is a great museum. There's also a bunch of awesome comedy clubs which can be tons of fun before heading out to a bar or something like that. WTC site, central park etc man theres a shitload of things to do in this city, ill keep editing and adding as i think. BTW im personally not into the indie rock scene but ive heard that its HUGE here, if youre into that im sure someone can post of good venues to check out here. Also, the tl.net headquarters are here! Too bad they dont allow visitors though so we cant check that site out. I'd love to drop by and get those guys some coffees and donuts though they sure as hell work hard to keep tl.net as awesome as it is :D | ||
