Edit: It doesn't matter if one is not born at a particular time. Education lends you the opportunity to learn the socio-cultural history of your nation. And I would think there is no greater stain on the great and otherwise illustrious history of Germany, as a nation, than that.

As a german I can say that Jew is not used as an insult in Germany at all. There are only a few people (with no brain imo) who use it that way, but not more than in any other country, too.

I am not against trash-talking. It's a part of every game. Shoot, if all my replays were uploaded, I'd probably be perm banned.
But to resort to racist comments is just pretty low.
I reported someone the other day for having a tag "BabyRapist" and I hope they get temp banned, or at the very least forced to change their name.

Ah yes, I've been missing this rage. I don't know what people are saying when they say theres more BM in SC2 than BW. I mean overall yes, the BW community was kinder and more tight knight but that's cause it was smaller and older. but I loved just being barraided by terrible insults after playing a game of BGH on U.S. East, then being attacked by poor english from some guy on ICCup. But don't get me wrong, I love both the BW and SC2 community, and I'd love for us to all just get along. you know man?

I'm not sure it's possible to achieve a better feeling through playing games than what you gave your opponent.. first he beats you twice - easily, gaining points. and then you get so angry that your account becomes suspended. holy rofl, if I were him then this would be one of those stories that I would end up retelling years after the incident..

That goes for the real life world as well; unfortunately, I don't see that happening. If there's so much rage and insult on SC2, (most of whose players are the next generation) How are they going to make world peace?

Actually I hate that shit. I always feel bad if I make my opponent rage. I feel much more satisfied when my opponent ggs and leaves or strikes up a convo with me about how he could have improved his build. There's no reason for anonymous players to be spiteful towards each other. It doesn't help that your comments are racist. You deserved what you got.

But anyway, I got pretty frustrated last night too. I decided I was just gonna play 1v1s, not care what happens, and try to be a good sport about losing. But I lost all five games, and it gets me pretty down. :U
I also hate when you play someone, and you go to find another match and you have to play against them again. Really irritating. Clearly if you didn't win the first time, you won't win the second time. I played against some kid who did the same thing you said. He played as random though, got Terran both times. He Banshee rushed me the first time, and then marine rushed me the second time.
I'm not *very* good, but it's still irritating. But, I look at it this way: When(or if) these players get to Gold, Platinum, or even Diamon with their cheesy plays, the're not going to do as well if all they do is all ins. ^_~ I just think when I get there, having done few few few cheesy plays that I'll be better than them.
But, I decided last night as well I'm uninstalling SC2 and going to ask Blizzard to close my account. :D /ragequeen

Not gonna even start arguing about whether or not offensive language should be protected in online video games, but it's common practice now for online video games to have warning and ban systems in place for racial slurs and offensive language. So he deserved to be banned at least in the sense that he should've known what he was getting himself into.

Yeah, I personally think that with the ability to block players, banning for this is stupid. After playing other games, especially DotA on WC3, it just seems outrageous that you could be banned for anything you could possibly say. I don't like the way banning for language has been adopted from WoW to SC2, because it didn't make sense there either. That being said, this guy's a moron.
