Hey all you sexy teamliquidians out there, I have been on a TL posting hiatus for perhaps more than half a year, mainly because I decided I wanted to make a 1000th post with some OC. However, I got caught up in finishing my degree and all the jazz of getting, then losing a job etc...Anyway I decided it would be sufficient to make one with only this quartet of drum videos...I'll probably have more to come...when I can get more god damn time! Literally tomorrow I have to go back down to Brighton and sign on (to welfare) again and bloody look for another job.
PS. I'm actually wondering if anyone around here could help me putting a website together for my function band by the way? If someone wants to help me out, maybe for a small fee too, it would be amazing
Firstly, here I'm drumming along to the awesome 'Bed Intruder Song' from the internets:
Now a couple of RUSH songs YYZ and Fly By Night:
sorry the Fly By Night sound is directly from the microphone of the camcorder cos I accidentally deleted the recorded audio part!
And finally some tech death metal :D for any necrophagist fans out there!
Well there u go, my 1000th post. I'll be sharing some other stuff in the future for example my solo music and also my band's stuff .
In other news, TL remains a bastion of awesome amongst the sea of lame that threatens to swallow most all of the internets.
Watched the bed intruder one and I think you're playing too much off beat cymbals. Add some rests in and it'll sound great. Trust me. Other than that good playing man.
epic stick drop in bed intruder haha but fucking awesome play d00d. i've never bothered with the more technical stuff such as necrophagist since it requires so much stamina. i'd rather be a tiny fucker but still with decent skills.
Ravloo + Lexpar I've been playing for 8 years Thanks for the advice Jigsetcza, definitely good points. If I made a serious attempt to play a groove along to the song I would certainly consider those aspects more carefully Not making good cash yet!! Hopefully in the future :D ps Thanks for the benevolent reception everyone!
PS Ravloo, it's push pull technique, not "Moeller", though I always use moeller too. If you want to cop the technique my advice is there's no better place than Jojo Mayer's video called 'Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer'.
Aw yeah, Fly by Night is my favorite song to play on my drums (maybe tied with Tom Sawyer of course). Awesome job, though a little too heavy on the open hi-hat for my taste

Jo Jo Mayer is pretty much my all time favorite drummer :-) Seen him live twice. One time at the Brooklyn gig I was sitting two feet from him, was awesome to say the least.
