GSL3 RO 64 Day 1 Preview
This is not a game. These are not just players. This is the Arena. Every round an overjoyed victor, a looser left only with crushed dreams. A fight of literally life or death. Win and play for another day, lose and become ignored, lost to memory forever.
They survived the grueling qualifications. All for this.

IMNesTea. Fresh off of his GSL 2 victory NesTea is looking to repeat his performance. A single victory is not enough in this game. NesTea needs to cement a legacy, to turn this lowly KT Roster Zerg into a legend. Every single battle will just be as hard, as important as the ones of the previous season.
SlayerSJys. He found himself in the uncomfortable position as the only other person to qualify from the SlayerS team. And like his teammate Boxer, in Broodwar he was known for his unconventional strategies. Even though he is the extreme underdog, he not to be underestimated. He has beaten programmers before and He came in this tournament to wash away the scandals, to achieve code S. This is the test. If Jys can top NesTea, not only will he survive, but the SlayerS team. A new team who’s first challenge is so impossible, yet so pivotal. (Thanks Mortician!)

oGsVines has come a long way since season 2. After getting knocked out early in the preliminaries he finally qualified and has his chance. Even though he is a self declared PvT specialist, he managed to power through preliminaries without facing a single Terran. However, his first match is against his weakest race. Zerg. As he prepares, he is looking to overcome his weakness. To prove to the world and himself he got what it takes to advance.
FnaticSen is used to the gap between Koreans and Foreigners. He was the top Zerg of Broodwar. Taking third in 2009 Pokerstrategy.com TSL, repeatedly winning WCG Taiwan, yet… this was not enough. In fact before he played in the qualifiers, he booked himself a flight home. But something happened. He qualified. As the impossible become reality the dreams start to set in. Here he can prove himself, that foreigners are just as competitive, just as fast, and just as skillful as the Koreans.
Littleboy. The teamless player who came into qualifiers thinking he was going to loose. Littleboy, the dark horse who knocked out TSL_sSKS. The person dedicated enough to practice daily for 12 hours without a clan. The gambler, player who must either win or go back to a life of farming. So much to lose, so much to win.
jookToJung. Another teamless player looking for a home. But jookToJung has shown results. He has qualified all three seasons, and he even qualified this season even after playing three games off his weakest matchup (ZvZ). And confidence he has in loads. He believes that TvZ is imbalanced… In his favor. As a cheetah stalking easy prey he waits to pounce.
MakaPrime: S-Class. RO8 qualifier. Creator of the Makarax. And this time he has something more important on his mind. He's been promised a kiss if he advances to the RO4! Last GSL he fell into a slump. Not even making it to the main stage, Maka watched the battles from the sidelines. This is his comeback, to tell there world that he is still here.
IMSleep: Even before the tournament started, Sleep has already knocked out the S-Class Player oGsInCa. He credits his victory to IMKyumer, who hand-taught him the art of TvZ. This is the perfect challenge. He has already knocked out a GSL RO8 player, he is prepared to take down a Terran. His own goal, Code S is in sights
oGsTheWinD: It is his third time qualifying, and as the coach of the legendary team oGs, he has helped his players compete at the highest stage. As key oGs players were knocked out in qualifiers, he finds the responsibility to perform laid on his shoulders. And as a RO16 qualifier last tournament, he knows what this means.
GoldenfOu: Five years ago, GoldenfOu tried to become a Broodwar Progamer. He had to quit due to lack of time, and left his hopes in the dustbin. But this time is different. This is his second change, his chance for redemption. With the team fOu to back him, GoldenfOu is looking to finally achieve his dream, to become a progamer.
