I'm gonna assume you're an English speaking white dude. It's possible you're not white since your username is Tofucake but whatevs, I hope you're a white dude for your sake. 1. Get a tourist visa to China. It's pretty quick for Canadians so I assume it'd be quick for you. 2. Get a plane ticket to Shanghai. 3. Arrive in Shanghai and talk to anyone random who looks like a university student. Chances are they know English (fun fact: There are more English speakers in China than in America) 4. Ask where all the foreigners hang. 5. Meet said foreigners and get one of them to get you a job teaching English because a lot of them are probably doing just that. 6. Get said job, get a place, live the rest of your life gloriously. You now have a decent paying job, cheap rent and cost of living, and you don't even need to know Mandarin. P.S. If you're lucky you'll get a job being a corporate white guy. What happens is that companies will hire white people to show up to corporate functions (like ribbon cuttings, business meetings, etc) and your sole purpose is to be a white guy, because white people working with a company in China implies power and reputation. | ||
