iccup making virus on my computer?

qzmpwxno Papua New Guinea152 Posts November 08 2010 00:05 GMT #1 today when i go to play broodwar in iccup i see message "please wait for update" and then update happen and screen pops up again, and update happen again, etc. also what is worse is my antivirus keep saying it is a "threat". plz help me i dont know what to do i just wanna play some sc guys

Apexplayer United States406 Posts November 08 2010 00:18 GMT #4 disable antivirus for the duration of the update, then restart computer after the patch. you should be fine then. Or just get rid of your antivirus and not go on suspicious websites. My conclusion is that most AV's are crummy anyway.

2Pacalypse- Croatia9529 Posts November 08 2010 00:30 GMT #5 It's a false positive. Most of the recent updates of iccup launcher are due to Dota which is getting pretty popular on their servers. In this latest update they included a remapper of inventory keys. Pretty cool.

qzmpwxno Papua New Guinea152 Posts November 08 2010 01:15 GMT #7 thx guys i fix it on my own^^ my antivirus was seeing the iccup launcher as malware and disabling it so i made exception for on-access scanning for launcher and it works now , thx i was scared bcuz it was first time this happens..
