Sup TL, anyway I watched the Fate Stay Night movie of Unlimited Blade works and so I had a really really interesting idea. It's certainly been done before and its around in the internet but I will post the errand boy version

You need to! Don't watch the movie first whatever you do. If you don't know anything about the series it is yet another anime based on a hentai game. The game has 3 story arcs and each one is significantly different. The anime series that was released is one arc and the movie is of course the unlimited blade works arc (although heavily condensed). Definitely an anime to watch though if you like action/fighter types that aren't kiddie.

Just skip the awful "I guess we need some metaphor for sex..."-scene. I think they had to include at least one "THIS WAS A EROGE!!!!" reference in the series, but it is just really really bad. Probably the worst and cheapest CG I've ever seen in an anime so far.

The rest of FSN is great though, and you don't need to play the game before you watch the series. Watching the series is necessary before you can watch the movie though, else you will be confused as hell if you mess the order up.

Play the VN instead, its so much more worth it than just watching the anime!

This. VN is amazing.

The movie isn't even good unless you've played the novel / have a grasp on the universe since it explains practically nothing. Avoid the anime.. it's terrible to say the least.
