There are many ways to approach the situation, your best bet is romantically. Even though she's older than you, girls love it when guys go out of their way and do cute things for them. Go to another barber and ask him/her to cute "Date?" into your head. Go to a female barber, a male might question your masculinity. It may feel like you're cheating on this asian beauty, but this is love and do whatever it takes. Schedule an appointment with this sultry voiced hairdresser and wear a hat until the moment she sits you down and drapes that cozy covering around you with her soft, gentle hands. When she removes your hat spin around in the chair and, in your most seductive voice, tell her to not say anything just cut her answer below. As she trims your locks don't show any signs of nervousness or defeat. Emit confidence. How she sees you at that moment makes all the difference between and no and a n-yes. + Show Spoiler +unless she's skilled enough to turn an n into a y or vice versa. If she can then keep going to her even if she says no because that's fucking skill.

Relax guys =P, I really just felt compelled to share my little story. Didn't think I'd get so many serious responses. I gave up on the idea of asking her out like a year ago, and I'm doin fine with my life. I said sorry at the end for a reason lol. I've read the other girl problem stories too, so I'm like heck I'll throw in my own for you guys to have fun with.
Hence the defeatist attitude johannes =D

my parents are like 8 years apart, once you're over like 20 it hardly matters much anymore.

In all seriousness, there's no way you could be "in love." It's been said before, infatuated is the term for this. Though it doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try... Who knows what could happen.

I picked her up in a hotel club at the RitzCarlton and she was absolutely my ideal woman. She was cultured, open minded, spoke English and Korean, she had this absolutely smoking body and was tall and I think she just loved me... but the age gap was too much. She wanted to have kids and so did I and shit got serious fast because of her age, we only were together three intense months, but I had to end it and it ended badly because I know I was so falling in love with her and I didn't want to tell her that, I just wanted her to think I was an asshole and to just move on.
When I was 30, I saw her again in Seoul, at a restaurant, I pretended not to see her, but of course this point she was 36 and damn, while she still looked great, she looked 36 and I was like, wow, I'm glad i dodged that bullet there and did the sensible thing. Not to say that I wouldn't have been a happy with her for the rest of my life, but being the superficial Korean man that I am, I think it was the best decision in the long run. this just made my day. Thanks a ton, man
Any time ^^ keke she was hot though...

Remember that she is providing a service to you and judging by your location, gratuity is influenced by how nice she is to you so try not to confuse "being nice for a tip" with "shes nice to me".
having said that, you should confidently give it a shot and don't think about the age difference. No woman really wants to be reminded of her age.
|
I don't see why a four-six year difference in age should deter you from trying. I'm 21 and my girlfriend just turned 26, it's not unheard of for a guy to date someone older. Try asking her out, worst she says is no.

Even though the OP doesn't have his birthday in his profile can the mods put the YEAR of user's birthdays back in their profile? It's really annoying not knowing how old someone is especially when it comes to people seeking advice in blogs.
In regards to the OP... age is just a number?

Although more to your point, if it turns out this guy is 15, and that makes the girl 19-20, he has no shot.

The problem is, people aren't realizing that there isn't any problem =P. Does that count as a troll?

Yeah... you guys are good. lol... But I don't think it's that hard to pick out who's asian and who's not. We're all so stereotypical when it comes to these things =_=.
A real challenge would be to pick out who the asian is out of a ventrilo channel of people. Even with a perfectly fine american accent, asians tend to have a different tone to their voice.
