Cleaning house/vaccuming = 40$
Leaf raking = 6$
Thinking about starting to do some work so I can get some money by black friday to buy a new computer+sc2, what do you guys think of these prices?

But you should probably check what other services are going for. If you're anywhere near a professional cleaning service [40 dollars sound super high] then you should probably lower it a little. Same with mowing. Raking for 6 dollars doesn't sound that bad, but I grew up in a yard that had about 40000 leaves every fall. : P

Leaf raking seems fine, but to me 6$ always seems kinda greedy, you could do it for 5$, but it's clever. Cleaning house: Need further explanation. Do you just vacuum every room or do you clean dust/clean bathrooms and kitchen in a more intense way etc. For just vacuum it's too high, for the full treat it's too low, if the average room number is >4(maybe even 2 bathrooms).

Prices depend on the area, a well-off neighborhood will always pay more especially if you have the "sweet young hardworking kid" look/attitude

Well, If I had 40$ for every single time I cleaned my own house, I'd be rich. True that. Not to mention every time I raked the leaves and mowed the lawn? Definitely a millionaire by now. Haha,

If everyone got big ass lawns and parks and stuff where you have a motorized mower it's ok, otherwise its kinda epensive. Yes I clean everything, I don't just vacuum. 3604 Eden Drive Carrollton, TX Thats how my surrounding neighborhoods look like, do you think these prices would go?

Wouldn't it be kinda weird to offer vacuuming services? Even so I'd offer 5$ to vacuum my bus if its any consolation.

A 15 year old generally cannot provide all of these services anywhere near as well as a cleaning service though.

you start off with those prices if people keep saying no. lower the prices by 1 quarter, then if it still fails, lower the prices by 1 half of the original prices you created. first day might be just full of you offering the deals and people saying no, then you lowering the prices. (figuring out fair prices on day 1) day 2 just might be profit day, don't be afraid to go back to houses who said no, with new prices. thats how you hustle. keep in mind it should only take about 1 hour of asking to see who says no and who says yes, also!! bring paper with you to write addresses so you can keep those addresses, and the fixed prices, some houses will say yes, some will say no to your prices, make notes of who is ok with original price, and make notes of who wanted it lowered and what price they earn you. that way you can go back and offer the same deal. its quite nice, thats how you hustle. lol i love hustling. we use to shovel driveways got 40 bucks once, its all in the person really. no price is too high or too low, your mistake was asking TL and not the actual home owners.
