about 5 days ago i caught a cold, you know, runny nose, little headache, mostly sneezes. However yesterday it decided it wasn't enough!
Just as I was getting better, I woke at 2 AM with my throat so inflamed that i cudnt even swallow, this led to my tongue sticking to the roof of my mouth by all the sticky shit in there that's seem to be there non stop since yesterday. T_T
But the worst is the headache, just turning my head is excruciating, my throat hurts but I can't cough because of how painful I know it'll be. On top of this non stop headache (or rather migraine tbh) for the past 30 or so hours, I've been alternating between freezing my nips off and suffocating in heat T_T
this is horrible!!! ><

try drinking, and boil some hot water, and just breathe in the water vapor (which is what the hot shower does). I'm not sure the medical reasoning behind it, but it really helps me when my nose is running.
As for the throat, just try to drink a lot of tea, and stay away from heavy foods. Try eating (or is the proper term drinking?) some soup.

Sounds like how I feel when I get a bad sinus infection. Lost 20 lbs in a week in one such bout freshman year and ended up in the hospital because I tried to power through it like an idiot.

I too share your chronic cold, I've had a runny nose, bad cough and slight headache for the past 3 or 4 years.

Doctor. Antibiotics help!

I had symptoms like that. Tea was the only thing that saved me from going nuts.

There are a few things you can do at home without medicine or doctors.
1. Get a pot, fill it half full of water, and dump a good amount of vinegar in it. Preferably red vinegar since it's not bleached. Boil it and breathe in the steam. CLOSE YOUR EYES. What this will do is kill all the bacteria and germs in your nose, mouth, and throat. This will fix all the sticky stuff in your mouth and take away the infection that's in your throat.
2. Take a hot shower for 10-15 minutes. Do not exceed the 15 minutes. It's the simplest way to warm yourself up so you don't go between feeling really hot and really cold.
3. Drink ginger tea. All you need to do is to boil ginger slices. Sweeten it with brown sugar or honey. This will make your throat feel 100x better.
4. When lying in bed, slice up a piece of garlic and stick a piece in one nostril. The juice from garlic is a great antibiotic and breathing it will kill germs and bacteria in your nose, mouth, and throat.
5. When lying in bed, put a damp warm cloth on your forehead. I don't know why, but it helps your body thermally regulate itself, so you don't feel super hot or super cold.
6. Get fresh air. Open a window if it's not too cold outside. Most headaches will go by faster with fresh air intake.

the difference is this is physical pain, and not the excruciating pain you get when you read something from someone incredibly stupid :D
