I can still cheer for the remaining zergs.

Once they're out I will probably lose interest.

My friend said the exact same thing I don't really understand why. The most enjoyable and best matches were Korean players.

Well there goes your money in e-sports, all goes back in the pockets of Koreans.

I did, but only because TLO dropped out, I didnt really care about the others anyway. So far he has been the only player whose play entertained me on the level of a better BW player. I'll probably watch some recommended VODs or something from the tourney later on, we'll see.

I watched a few games just to have something going on in the background whilst browsing TL.
SC2 doesn't really excite me much as a spectator game so the GSL doesn't appeal to me hugely, however I'll probably watch the finals.
I couldn't care less if all the players were from the dominican republic, korea or the USA, its the game more than anything else that discourages watching.

I'm still gonna watch the protoss matches since it's always good for inspiration for you own play, esp. now that most of the bad players are weeded out. Also because imho there arent many amazing protoss players outside of korea, except for huk kiwi socke.

Still a bit sad about TLO and idra everytime I think about gsl though.

Have you seen the Ro16 lineups? It's going to be awesome, there are so many really strong players.

If you have an interest in watching top level SC2 (with good commentary) why would you not watch the GSL?

I stood up, swore and clapped a lot during TLOs games. I don't feel the same about the Korean players but I'll watch for sure. We just need to get to know them better, and what better a time than high-stakes matches between the best in the world

I started watching GSL after all the non-koreans (low skills) were eliminated.
I hope there are less low skill players (non-koreans) in the next GSL.

I'm going to say I still watch the GSL because I like watching SCII, not because I only like watching foreigners play, even though I love to watch them play.

Agreed. I don't know what these guys are blabbing about but the Koreans were the best players and had the best games. They're probably masking the "us foreigners suck compared to koreans" by saying "im watching but don't care/lost interest."

In terms of pure SC2 skills, the ro16 is extremely exciting. Maybe it's the teenagers who watch the GSL to see their non-korean e-celebs.

I don't think its fair to generalize that much at this stage, many of the koreans in the RO64 and RO32 were fucking abysmal - had TLO played someone else, he may well have got to the RO16.

I do broadly agree with the KR>Other argument though

I watched the first day because I happened to be up when it aired. Now I'm never available when it's on and I don't want to pay them directly for the rights to the VODs. While I generally support the idea that money can be exchanges for goods I don't want to help set the precedent that to watch a tournament you either need to be available at 5-8am or pay a fee determined directly by the people broadcasting the event.

I'm surprised koreans weren't as dominating as I'd expect them to be. Once more semi pros and pros start playing the game it will improve drastically, will definitely be more fun to watch. It's decent as it is already. Props to TLO for making it this far.

Since I don't care anymore I don't watch. All I wanted to see was how far the foreigners could go. Not very entertaining games either, it's mostly Dan and Nick that makes it worth watching at all.

So all these hopes for equality among foreigners and Koreans with a new game, and this is what happens. ONLY Koreans in a RO16. I don't know whether to laugh or not.

Hmmmmmm.. Might have something to do with the location of the tourny..?

I feel for you americans though. GSL starts right when I get home from class most days, perfect for chilling and eating for awhile once I get home.
