i got the "open in IE" extension which essentially turns your tab into an IE tab which is really convenient

Yeah Chrome doesn't work right now with TL embedding youtube 
It did for a bit but now after some change on either end it doesn't again. Though I've been really not-lazy and I've hit quote and then just copy+pasted.
This looks like a job for the Wizard!

Works for me as well. I've not had any problems with Flash player in Chrome thus far, but I did have Flash issues in Firefox before switching to Chrome.
Though it's pretty cool that there's an "open in IE" extension. I didn't know that.
As for what you should do, well... I dunno. What I had to do to get Flash working properly on Firefox with my graphics card was to uninstall the latest version of Flash, then grab an older version off oldapps or wherever (I forget where I found the version I used and liked). That had nothing to do with not being able to press buttons in the UI, though, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate.

thanks ill get the extension. might try uninstalling flash first, who knows how these crazy computer glitches work
