Hello all So here I am on TL for some gosu advice!!

I am 26y old from Greece and getting married with my girl on December. Question is Where to go on our honey moon!? We will have about 2 weeks to enjoy and explore a new place.

At first I was thinking of going to New York cause I have never been in America and I would really like to see how it is there. Second of all tho we think that going into a rich city like this we will kinda be lost and will not enjoy our trip that much.

So then I thought, why dont we go in a gosu island with the gosu waters we see from pictures on the internet. I thought of Hawaii at first cause BJ penn lives there and well BJ penn lives there, lol. apart from that tho I was seeing at some tickets prices and oh my god its expensive to go there, 2500 euro for it.

Then I thought of that australian guy that took part "ihavethebestjobintheworld" and wow its beautifull there but I think its like soooo many hours to get there.

My dad says we should go to Malvides so what u think??

I kinda prefer to go to an island kind of thing and relax there, swim have lots of fun rather than being on the streets all day and go shopping.

Go to Phuket Thailand. Beautiful beaches and so much cheaper than the US or Europe.

December to February is the best time to go- it doesn't rain and it's not as humid as the rest of the year.

It is the busy season though so more expensive.

For relaxation and swimming I say go to the Caribbean, great food, great people and great prices.

I would choose Jamaica personally.

LOL I was going to suggest Greece because that's where I'm going on honeymoon next May, but since you're from Greece...

Well if you just want to relax and swim, you could go to any hotel club on any beach of the world. Sounds like I'm trolling, but seriously, I went to few of them in various places of the world and they all have the same fucking spa, the same fucking reception, and the same fucking international food at the restaurant (plus some terrible fake local food, no spicy food for tourists omg !).

That's why I'm going to the Cyclades Islands for my honeymoon, I love greek food, the beaches are very nice (Paros especially), if we are bored of the beach, we can take the ferry boat and party like crazy in Mykonos nightclubs, or we can visit interesting cultural spots as well.

The ideal place would be somewhere cheap (not too cheap, it's honey moon, but I'd rather spend money on a bottle of champagne for a romantic night, than waste money because the place I'm going is overpriced/overrated), with nice beaches, and at the same time providing the occasion to have exotic food / visit interesting spots.
I'd advise Teluk Delam beach, in Redang, Malaysia

About the Maldives, I heard it was great for scuba diving !

Jeju Island? That's where half of Korean couples go for their honeymoon xD

If you are going to Thailand or anywhere in Southeast Asia (SEA), you do not have to worry about the climate because it's always summer here! Since your honeymoon is 2 weeks long I'd suggest coming to SEA and tour all the different countries, from the peaceful tropical beaches of Thailand to the culturally rich Malaysia, then the bustling city state of Singapore (and avoid Manila!). Suits all tastes and preferences!

And no I don't work in Singapore's Tourism Board :p
Same difference is not an oxymoron!

I don't know if Cleveland can be explained anymore clearly than this:

Wow that was a hilarious video about Cleveland.

If it was me, and money I would want to take my new wife to a Sandles Resort. Supposed to be an ideal honey moon location.

Find a place with a nice hotel room because hopefully you'll be seeing the inside of it a lot.

New York City in the winter is very romantic; you have Rockefeller Plaza (beautiful christmas lights), horse-drawn carriages around Central Park, and there is something great about going into fancy, candle-lit restaurants from out in the cold.

But it IS cold. It's a good excuse to wear peacoats and scarves and mittens and all that, and there are a bunch of really wonderful museums, shopping, etc.

But you don't go to NYC to relax, really. You go there to be in the center of the world, with a lot of hustle and bustle and just plain STUFF going on. So if you want a really relaxing holiday, yeah, a tropical place might be better.
You'll worry less about what people think about you when you realize how seldom they do.

We went to Sandal's Ocho Rios. It was 65% off (It still may be). We simply booked it through AAA. It was amazing all inclusive and wonderful. All you can eat, drink, tons of excursions, tons to do. Very nice beach with watersports for free. Honeymooners get free breakfast in bed one day. It was greatness. Oh and not that you will be watching much TV, but they had so many channels it was nuts.
