Beef Noodles
There once was a man, nay, a zerg. A simplest piece of otherwise astonishing zerg genetic evolution. Simple drone compared to Gods, Demi-Gods and their wives, Ultrasiks, Defilers and Guardins of this world, yet he was no ordinary drone, because even the simplest and smallest creatures of swarm hold greatness inside them, think the same thoughts as glorious Overmind, feels every blow Swarm suffers only to Overcome it all and experience Bliss of Victory over everything that stand in it way, for Swarm is many, but one, more complex and astounding than any protoss or human can imagine or describe.
And in that Beef Noodles is Homer to the Swarm as Homer is poet to ancient Greeks.
(by the way look at this ''idealized'' portair of him, is it me or them, Greeks are strange lot)
His existence is controversial, because only few written pieces attributed to him had survived to present day, odas to Hades and Persephone (as influential as Odyssey and Iliad to the Zerg race or shall I say Being)
Some would say that Beef Noodles is not a single man (Nay A ZERG!) but rather a representation of the culmination of many centuries of oral story-telling and a well-developed formulaic system of poetic composition, and I cannot deny that they are very oral and culminating indeed, that while his physical body is separated from the Swarm subconsciousness is shared and flow of information never stops flowing through every one of us, thus I cannot deny that he is indeed more than one person.
Some would even say that Beef Noodles is not the name of a historical poet, but a fictitious or constructed name..
To them I can reply with ease.
When I first moved to China, I only knew 3 Chinese characters -- niu ro mian = beef noodles. Because I didnt knwo how to say anything else, I just always ate beef noodles and that became my name in China.
When I moved here, it stuck.
Damn shitty noodles...
So call him niu ro mian if you so please you clarinet players and beesuits, for Swarm doesn't care about you, as you are the past, while Zerg is the Future and its future will be documented!

I too was disappointed with the lack of beef noodles - seriously with a title like that I was expecting something along the lines of a connoisseur's take on beef noodles.

Beef noodles is awesome, the Zerg is awesome. This blog is awesome.
I honestly hope that we continue the high-level of mythological references around here. I could use a brush up on my Ancient gods some more.
