Who's with me?! Also American popular music sucks. This is beyond awesome, you deserve an oscar for the idea alone. As for the topic, i'd say american entertainment is like teamliquid, it produces great stuff that gets drowend by a lot of crap but in the end it's still the best you get. Money is not that important, there needs to be a developed industry with many people involved who all profit from the large experience that the industry as a whole has. Tradition is the word i guess^^. I also dont think even an developed entertainment industry that isn't used to all the money could use it very well. A good idea has to come first, money probably broadens the possibilities but it would take some time for people getting used to naturally think of their ideas in this broadend space. In that sense i agree that it would really be interesting to see what the entertainment industries of some countries would produce that would have had access to american amounts of money for 20 years.

Try some British entertainment. Some of the best writing I've seen on TV in a while.

Of course there can still be the typical storyline of lost loves whom you meet again 10 years later, and the good guy disposing of the bad guy and takes the girl away. In fact, it'll be best if this all happens while the protagonist is about to answer the Million Dollar Question on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"..... + Show Spoiler + Slumdog Millionaire, if you haven't figured out already :p Maybe there is demand from people like the OP, who want something set in a different culture/country, which can be attributed to the success of the movie.

Please get up on the stage and accept your prize. I'd definitely watch that Mongolian sci-fi. No doubt about that.

Check out "Departures" (2008), its an awesome Japanese movie dealing with the distant relationship modern people have with death. Its top100 on IMDB. Funny too. Check out Rotten tomatoes from time to time as well to see what new foreign film is out and give it a look. There are amazing movies out, but you have to search a bit to find them. The same with music. They don't bring in the money, but they are fantastic works of art. And when you find something nice, blog about it here so we can enjoy it as well.

That would be Cowboys versus Aliens right? Only then with the cast of Mongol.

You should read No Logo by Naomi Klein, it deals a lot with the mindset behind the consumer culture. Once you know whats up it frees your mind to care about other things. So warhammer 40k right? because it's got pretty much all of those, though I'm not sure the eagles transform
