Zup fellow travelers I'm thinking of going to vaccination with my girlfriend to Pisa.
What do you guys think? anyone been there? Seems pretty awesome to me if you stay at Tirrenia close to the beach for a few days and then change hotel into something in Pisa for another few days.
Or is transportation good enough to stay at one place? How is food, people, places etc?
I will of course investigate all these things myself but advice from fellow nerds is always great

Pisa is expensive, but dont miss the tower, whatever it costs. Western italy has amazing food, stayed a week in Luca/Lucca, and visited among other things Pisa, Florence and the tuscany nature, was really great, and it could probably be really romantic.

Honestly, I really hated Pisa. It was over the top touristy and very tacky and way overpriced. Florence however is an amazing city and I'd really recommend it. Great food, beautiful buildings and museums and it isn't too expensive.

Vaccination in pisa? Are the doctors any good there?;-p
On topic, Pisa is rather mediocre a town outside of the tower area itself - then again, even mediocre towns in northern italy are pretty cool. The tower itself is indeed over the top touristy, you can surely take some pictures of 300 people doing the "hey look, I'm holding this hugeass tower all by myself" visual trick, but you can do it yourself too if thats what you fancy.
I'd most definitely recommend spending some time in Florence if you happen to be so close. Going to Italy just for Pisa would be a bit of a waste. I cant tell you too much about the transportation. In Florence for e.g., the public transport or your feet can take you anywhere, just watch out for pickpockets. (Though I guess that stands for every tourist honeypot in Italy)

Not overpriced at all if you know where to go.
Always try the pizza that are nearby were the tourist are. Have eaten the best and the worst pizza in my life in pisa.

Pisa is a nice and worthy city, but Florence is just too awesome so be sure to visit it aswell!
