So I made a change to a flight reservation that originally had me leaving from pittspurgh to Chicago O'hare on the 8th of August, but I changed the reservation to the 30th of July and as a result they charged me 232$ (just for changing the flight date/time), through onetravel (has anyone here used them before?). I am not sure if I might have to change my reservation again but do travel agencies charge money for changing the flight time on the day that you are supposed to leave? Was it even legit to even charge me 232$ for changing the flight reservation date originally?

Yea since it's a week difference the price of the ticket usually goes up quite a bit. I don't use a travel agency but most airlines won't let you switch dates for your flight and you would have to purchase a whole new ticket.

Next time you should buy Southwest, you can change the time and if the cost of the ticket is lower than the price you paid, you get credits that can be used in your next flight.

There were two flights on the same day from the same airline that I changed to offered, one was early in the morning and another one in the evening. If I change the time of my flight on the day that I'm leaving, will I get charged for that?

There's often a fee for changing flights on top of the difference in costs. It should be mentioned on their terms & conditions somewhere, or on a FAQ on their website or whatever. Or you could just call them, its really not that hard.
