I am trying to watch livestream fullscreen on a laptop with integrated graphics. It would be working fine, except the FIRST 5 CALIFORNIA ADS keep destroying everything (the screen goes gray and freezes when the ad shows up)... I've tried installing adblock which I use on my main machine but apparently after a recent update AdBlock is not signed blah blah blah and it won't install. I've searched some alternative fixes, but those are apparently too old and don't work anyone.

I hate First 5 California.

Ever consider trying a host block? It's what I do and it's worked rather well for me thus far. Just search for a guide on TL by Mystlord on how to block Livestream ads.

PS: Livestream ads are so annoying. They used to be bearable when it just aired when you first started the stream. But now they're continuous throughout and it's just so god damn annoying.

Hmm... if you're referring to the hosts file in /system32/drivers... I've tried that... I guess I'll look up Myst's guide.

I've got the following in hosts, and I haven't seen a Google/Livestream Ad in a while:

127.0.0.1 adserver.adtechus.com
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

I've got adblock for Chrome and I've added the lines to the hosts file as the guide mentioned, but I'm still getting ads on livestream streams. Are we talking about the same adds? I mean the ones that pop up on the bottom that you can click away.

Do I need to restart for it to take effect or something?

The adblock plus plugin for firefox will block all livestream ads and ads on other websites as well.

Oh, I still get those really rarely, but not as much as before. Those aren't as bad as the continuous looping of 30 second Google ads that fill the entire screen. =(

In a related note, do you guys ever have an issue where you are trying to load a webpage, but there is some ad on the page that your browser wants to load before it loads the page, but the ad won't load for whatever reason. So you're stuck unable to load the fucking page because of the stupid ad that's fucking you over. Ads are bad enough simply existing. Please don't fuck me over with shitty servers that load the ad.

Oh, and something else that annoyed me recently. I went to go watch a 2 minute movie trailer on youtube. It had an ad before it. A 2 minute movie trailer with an ad before it. What the hell, honestly.
