The more detailed the better although you don't have to give a full autobiography.

I know some people who've immigrated to Canada who become frustrated sometimes because they can't express themselves fully in english. Or is it because you want to be close to your real-life friends, like best friends, but this doesn't work out because very, very few people can ever be a person's close friend? I used to be in that situation, myself. Nowadays, I really don't "get" anyone -- I'd be surprised if anyone "gets" anyone -- but I don't think about it. I have a lot of fun with, and even learn a lot from, guys who are very different from me. And we don't stress each other out, for the most part. Of course, I could be completely off. Individual differences can be inconceivable.

I know some people who've immigrated to Canada who become frustrated sometimes because they can't express themselves fully in english. I'd like to know this as well. This is such a frustrating facet of life that I have to deal with on a daily basis. My Japanese is only minimally functional at best, meaning, conveying anything past the very basics is difficult, and it's absolutely dreadful at times when I can't imply or infer things... and this is exacerbated by the restrictive cultural norms, ugh.

Of course, it's been awkward with some of them. The language barrier has meant I've literally had to (wo)manhandle players at times. It gets pretty funny when it happens and we're both clueless though. I'm on the fence about it. It costs a lot of money, and last time I spent 18 hours working with only a 10 minute break. It also takes ages to get down to Busan. I'll decide later on.

2: How is it that you're teaching English in Korea? I asked Mani months ago if he was going through JET, which he is, and to the best of my understanding most if not all English teachers in Japan are linked with JET. However, with Korea, it seems that it's something of a crap shoot, where sometimes you're with an agency (but there are many) or other times you're signed directly onto the school. Can you confirm and/or fact-check any of this?

However, with Korea, it seems that it's something of a crap shoot, where sometimes you're with an agency (but there are many) or other times you're signed directly onto the school. Can you confirm and/or fact-check any of this? It varies, but I mainly steam it, or fry it in soy oil and then make dips or add sauces. I like it mapo-style sometimes, but others I want it firm. I went through a recruiter after University. It's definitely quite random unless you go through a scheme such as EPIK or GEPIK which places people in public schools. Most recruiters deal with private school (hagwon) placements. It's not really an agency style arrangement since free-lancing is not allowed here. So unless you're public school where you're part of a governed organization's teachers then you're always signed directly to the school on an E-2 visa. (As far as I'm aware.)

Right now it's Jajjang Rice (a sort of sweet black bean sauce rice with pieces of veggies and meat.) I love Pat Bing Soo (shaved ice, ice cream or frozen yogurt and fruit/beans.) I *hate* Seaweed soup and anything made with stinky fish. The smell turns my stomach. I'm also not a fan of Korean fried chicken. ForGG 4life.
