There is no way a salesman at the brick is bringing home 7,000 before taxes each month. So he probably meant at most, $5000 before taxes, which puts you in a fairly high tax bracket, which further eliminates the money you actually take home. I work construction, and make $6000 a month before taxes. They take usually around $1600 from that, which totally sucks. | ||

The question is whether 3500-5000 has to be taxed or not. I assumed not (as in its 3500 after tax). If it does, then you probably get taxed 30-35%, so you send up with a bit more than 2k a month. That is still pretty good for a job that doesn't need a degree. | ||

I Know a friend who works in fort mcmurray and he makes like twice as much then what he would make in Edmonton, Its just because of all those crack heads and shit there LOL. and 711 I believe that because that shit probably gets robbed everyday haha. | ||
