I don't think Nintendo is the best company to take as an example, because they are way less "moneylovers" than Sony, and especially Microsoft. Then again, microsoft didn't make console games back then...

I don't really get what's "deep" about the thread title, unless I'm extremely obtuse. The joke is on modern games oversimplifying gameplay and adding unnecessary features, and SC2 is just another example of one of those games.

I hate to be "that guy" explaining jokes but this just seems to be another example of the joke rather than a new level of it.

My sister plays facebook games all day, and they are worse than the worse mmorpgs.... no sense at all, incentives are bullshit, you dont actually play you just click stuff and wait and then come back and click again... can`t understand that BS.

You know, you people could just not have a Facebook account.
The number of times people at school have asked me whether I have a Facebook account has to be in double digits right now. I find a new way to say 'no' each time.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. Consumers have only themselves to blame, and if you really want to play a game made by people who don't care about making money there are many good independent game developers who could use your support.
