I know it is pretty big on the other side of the ocean but in Europe (at least in Bulgaria) it doesn't have much of a fanbase, and being the mainstream guy, concerning TV series, that I am, I have not watched the series.
It didn't bother me, but today some friends of mine invited me to go watch it, so my question is...
Will I enjoy the film, even though I have not watched a single episode of the series (yet) or should a do a marathon and then watch the movie
EDIT: typo ^^
|
I barely have watched any old episodes and I still enjoyed it, great movie !^_^;;
|
I never even heard of the TV series until my brother told me about it during a trailer, but I thought the movie was awesome. You don't need to have watched the series to understand it. There are some awesome actors in it as well.

I was surprised by how good it was, easily the best action movie I have seen in a while.
|
hhhhhmmm intriguing, will watch if my wallet gets full and I have money to spare :D
|
Great action + awesome humor, wtf do you want more? I'm going to see it one more time with my cousin just because I loved it and because I don't have to pay for it .

I thought it was much better than some of the other highly acclaimed action movies that have come out as of late (Iron Man 2). Good explosions and pretty funny. I enjoyed it at least.

i rarely ever watched a-team and i enjoyed it. It was actually a pretty damn good action movie.
it had ridiculous scenes, but they were mostly so badass when they happened that you really didn't give a shit

Can I get a few inputs on rampages acting performance? I'm going to watch this movie soon! Seems great

Mr. T (the black guy in the original series) bashed the movie cause he didn't like all the killing.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson who acted as B.A. Baracus told he liked Mr. T more too

I would describe it as fun; it will never be mistaken for a good movie but definitely enjoyable throughout. Some hilarious one-liners and decent fight scenes make it true summer flick. Rampage did suprisingly well, but there were points when you could almost see him reading off the script. Bradley Cooper and the crazy guy (name has escaped me) stole the show for me!

Liam Neeson is instant watch IMO

Best action movie I've seen in ages. I haven't seen the original series either - but I downloaded the first season after watching this
|
Just watched it, was quite enjoyable. It might be bit different if you are so used to the A-team series, but these guys play it out pretty well.
|
Everyones said it was good, but I've not seen it yet.
|
I have seen it and liked it a lot, I didn't see any of the old episodes and still enjoyed it greatly. Definitely lots of cool over the top battles and funny one liners.
|
I watched the show, it was different but fun to watch. Have not seen the movie yet but hope to soon.

Though in the same interview he said he was pissed for the very minor part they got as guest appearances so perhaps it is badmouthing on his part.

Thanks guys, im seeing it tomorrow afternoon, Hoping for a great action movie ^^

For those who have not watched Taken, do it now!

A little bump, because I Forgot to post my opinion on the movie...
IT WAS EFFING AWESOME! It was like watching a Commandos tie-in movie. All was so Commandos-e ^^. Damn it, gotta go find my discs.
There were some cheesy moments, but can be easily overlooked, no biggy.
As for the acting, it was top notch, really liked Liam Neeson and Sharlto Copley. The latter might just be a rising star, seeing how 2 of his 4 (?) movies are really really good.
Also, all the pop references were cool ^^ "Just like Call Of Duty, eh?" ^^
And yeah, everybody who loves Commandos, explosions, top-notch acting, fun films should definately check this out

Oh my god, when murdoch was imitating mel gibson from brave heart... wow. that justified the movie ticket cost. lol
