There are about 9 thousand keys available for you so grab them while you can.

I thought if people are still having trouble finding something to do, maybe they can play this beta while we wait for the other beta heh! I personally will be playing this just to waste time and hopefully it'll be good, from the things I heard. (It's like 8gbs dl [overnight DL] and the client downloader DL is like 70mb and they capped the dl speed to like 100 Kb/s)

Edit: Didn't catch that this was from the last few minutes of the beta. Can't find any good recent beta footage though

Ok I checked it out, looks pretty cool. Only problem...

The current minimum hardware requirements for APB are as follows:

Intel Core2 Duo 2GHz or equivalent
2GB Main Memory
Geforce 7800 256 MB or equivalent
256kbit/sec internet connection

My laptop is basically just meeting the minimum requirements, but these seem pretty steep and may deter a lot of people from playing.

APB is a very high end game which requires good amounts of ram, 4+ and a good CPU to run around 40-50 fps+

That has been the number one complaint during beta, the subpar performance on alot of high-end PCs.

So if you barely even qualify for the min spec: DO NOT waste money on it. It'll be near unplayable.

I have extremely low expectations given that every other mmo/action beta i've played has been terrible... but it might be worth it to fool around for a couple hours.

edit: FYI my download speed has been consistently around 285 kb/s, so they aren't capping speed at 100

5 hours of action.... after downloading something for probably longer.

I think I'll pass. I've been looking forward to APB to see how well it plays, but I have little interest in dipping my toes in the water unless I get can waist deep in it.
