[rant]fanboy posts that bother me

[Fin]Vittu Canada507 Posts June 06 2010 07:33 GMT #1 I noticed the huge surge of posts that look like this: Don't get me wrong, but FlaSh's play is so good, he is god now, and this is coming from a HUUUUUUUUGE Jaedong fan. or I am the biggest Jaedong fan boy ever, but I still admit that FlaSh is one of the best players ever. I don't need to know what "fan" you are. It doesn't make you sound any more convincing than you already do. That is all.

Sometimes it is genuine though, but usually you get the feeling it's a play to get some credibility. Its like.. "OH OK! I was gonna say youre a biased a-hole, good thing you mentioned that! " Its probably not that interesting by itself, but I visit various of forums and recurring patterns are interesting psychologically.

They can freely admit that Flash is an incredibly good, bonjwa level player who has like zero faults in his play and appears to be untouchable (which is not the case as we have seen recently, but let's say on the whole). I don't need it either. It's just one of the cases where you are allowed to compliment a hostile faction without losing your credibility as a fanboy of your faction. One has to underline that, of course.
