I just can't believe the abuse kittens go through each and every day. Those poor kitties are perpetually in fear of God's Almighty hand coming down and crushing them in divine retribution for those hundreds of millions of heartless *ahem excuse my tastelessness* wankers.

Sigh. Get mad if you want guys, but those kitties are so innocent, and I suggest you guys stop hating on them. And on Purr Pals, which is a ridiculously cute (though somewhat cheap) game.

Brood War is 1378461237418904x better, you should play it, although you may run into the same problems.

All I can say is don't give up! Read the forums, read guides, watch VODs, listen to Day[9], and learn to manage time

i was like that in SC:BW....couldn't win a game if my life depended on it

so i played UMS games only when i logged on...still fun

You can do the same with SC2...there's gonna be a slew of awesome UMS games that people are gonna develop....just play that!

you should look for a friend to play 2v2 with

learn the basics of micro and macro with a friend, it's more fun

I don't really care if you quit the game or not since you should do what you want, but you are quitting for all the wrong reasons. Nothing wrong with taking a break and maybe waiting for release and whatnot... but reasons like "I suck" or <random bad luck> shouldn't stop you from playing the game... especially since you are completely wrong about being unable to be good.... plus there are so many different modes etc

Yeah I mean above all its about having fun, right? If you're like me, then its hard to have fun at something unless you're good at it...I just think its a bit too early to throw in the towel.

I've had my share of sucking as well at SC2, but I've been waiting for this damn game for 8 years now so I'm not gonna let a couple of embarrassing losses stop me!!! ggogogogoggo

starcraft is not about having fun.
It is practicing 10 hours a day and still losing.
It is skipping class so often you drop out of college.
It is telling your girlfriend you don't have time for her.
It is telling your D- friends that they are holding you back.
Oh wait.... you mean starcraft 2? Go get platinum and feel like you have accomplished something.
In all seriousness, just go watch tons of replays and copy the build orders meticulously. I gave my roommate three build orders for terran matchups (which are now outdated) and he went from copper to goldish in a few days.

you should quit if its frustrating to you. its sc so its going to be competitive. im personally waiting for the single player but yeah i stop playing games as soon as its not fun anymore.

yeah, it'll be hard for you to improve if you keep losing and getting discouraged. if you ever come back to sc try find a way to just enjoy the game, even if it means purposefully placing yourself in the lower leagues.

i would say the idea about quitters never win applying here, but if you're of the idea that losing makes you not want to play then sc really isnt for you
