Yesterday, I experienced something that I hadn't experienced in over a year. Joy, happiness.
It's been a while since I've been legitimately happy with my life. No, I'm not really happy when I listen to KPop or when my favorite Starcraft player wins a game. It's merely temporary satisfaction. Deep down inside, the fire and passion to be an active, happy person died about a year ago. That happiness was replaced by eternal sorrow. Nothing positive came out of me besides bitterness.
While I'm happy that TL has been here for me over the last year or so, I sometimes look at this place in disgust. Had my life gone the way I'd intended it to go, I wouldn't have to rely on Starcraft to wash my sorrows away. I never intended to get as active and addicted to TL as I did. I only intended to use it as a tool to get my mind off stuff happening around me in my personal life.
But there's always a moment in time where everything just clicks. And for me, that something clicked yesterday. For the first time in a long time, I was truly happy. I laughed out of joy and not in mockery of someone, and when that happened, I knew it was time. It was time to move on and live my life to the fullest.
To TL, I want to thank everyone here that made the last year of my life bearable. Without some of the people I've met through TL, I don't know how I'd have gotten myself through some tough days. To those select few, you may not know who you are, but I thank you wholeheartedly for guiding me through this rough patch of my life.
With newfound invigoration, I feel as if the possibilities are endless.
