I would like my career to be something math/business. What would my majors be? Maybe something like an account as a career? I'm very new to this stuff(obviously) so any help would be appreciated

But you have to take a whole bunch of exams to be a certified actuary, so if your school doesn't offer an actuarial sciences program, you'd have to self-study for these exams on top of your coursework. Not saying this isn't possible, but I'm sure it would help, not to mention it would make getting internships easier if you come out of a well-known actuarial sciences program.

Go into business school unless you know what you want to do with your math major. College is fucking awesome, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. #1 Advice JOIN A FUCKING CLUB/TEAM/GROUP/JOB. You will instantly have a group of friends that you can relate to, hang out with, party with, and extend your social network from. Make friends often, there is very little downside to being friends with everyone. #2) Probably more important than #1 but not as relevant to enjoying college: NETWORK. You can literally get anything in life with the right connections and college is a great place to do that. Theres all sorts of meetings, groups, events, and stuff like that where you can meet people that you will want to know when you need something. #3) Be Motivated: I dicked off my first year and got a 3.0 until i realized i had to get into my business school. having that motivation raised to give a shit about my classes raised my GPA significantly. #4) Know the system: Each class has its own way to be successful in. Some classes have absolutely meaningless lectures and all you need to do is read the book and rape the test. Some classes you need to go to everything, have the professor review your work, etc etc to get an A. Read online about the class (i know my school has a website where people comment on all the classes/profs more or less) or ask someone who took it before. Find the path of least resistance to be successful #5) Have fun. You can still study your ass off and go out on the weekends. It's all about time management. Currently a junior at michigan state, lemme know if you have any more questions. Oh yeah make sure you bang a ton of sleezy college girls.
