A couple days ago I was QQ-ing in a blog post about how my ladder climbing frustration had reached its peak.
It was one of those nights where I've spent the entire night into early morning bouncing between wins and losses. I would have a really great win, followed by a couple stupid losses. I found myself losing to really stupid shit, or overthinking situations and trying to be too fancy with it.
Out of pure nerd-rage and possibly too much weed. I vented/ranted a little bit in my blog, not really even expecting anybody to read it. But, you guys did.
Reading it over again, I feel a bit silly for getting so aggravated, but most of all, thankful for everyone who replied.
So, this is just a thank you for putting up with me, answering my questions, giving me tips & advice, and more importantly, the words of encouragement.
I had expected a bit of hate for being in copper, but there was barely any of that.
Anyway, I took what you all said seriously. Stepped up my macro, found a good build order, scouted like a mother fucker, expanded comfortably, chose my battles properly, and never hit 1k minerals. All of which I had struggled with. Watching replays, reading articles, asking questions, taking notes, and recognizing my own flaws, were all steps I took in getting my noob-ish ass out of copper.
It truly makes me appreciate the Team Liquid community. I've been a long time lurker, and these few blog posts are my most recent steps in making myself comfortable here. I'm pretty sure I'm stuck here for good.
I might look back at this and feel stupid for caring so much, but I don't plan to play this game any less. These moments are moments to cherish, amirite?!

Haha thanks! I'm sure you'll do better, though. Not only did a friend of mine dig me so deep in copper, I also haven't really thought about playing it seriously. Now, all I wanna do is climb that fucking ladder. Lol.

Congratulations 
I just recently got demoted to silver from gold, played 2 games here and im rank 68. Right now im trying to enjoy the game and not care about ranking but everytime i win games and get close to the top 10 then lose to alot of stupid shit i can't help but flame my opponents 
If anyone from TL see's me ingame don't take my flaming personally :D

Congrats, man! I'd actually be interested in seeing the replay, copper games are fun to watch sometimes because they can get so ridiculous
And I feel you on the frustration, I'm currently bouncing around mid-gold (after starting in bronze), so I know exactly what you're talking about. It gets better, I promise.

Don't worry about it, I don't judge. I'm a long ways away from silver or gold.
I was low 40's high 30's when I started about a week or so ago. The climb hurts so bad sometimes, especially once you get top 10.
I used to think that I didn't care about the ladder... but I was in denial.

Hahaha, it was ridiculous. He got pretty upset in the end. Didn't even GG me. But then again, I probably just got too annoying for him.
