Beta key give away

So when I preordered my game from gamestop, I received a beta key on my receipt and an email with a different beta key. I'd like to put that other key to good use and give back to the TL community.
Just like Xursian's topic, I want you to let me know why you think you deserve it. I will be pm the beta key at 10pm Pacific. Being as I haven't ever been too social around here, I'd also like to use this chance to perhaps make a new friend, so if you would mind playing some SCII with your new key, let me know

i want the beta key because ever since the beta was out i had tried everything to get a beta key besides buying it online cause i did not have money coming from a low income family.i have been dedicated to sc ever since i started playing which was back in elementary. I've been watching vods of VioleTAK (before he retired) Boxer (im a terran) and just keep up with updates from SC. beta key would make my summer or until the sc2 comes out. but i have tried at least 20 competitions both outside of tl and at TL. I really don't know why my luck is retarded but i need the key and hopefully expericence new people, make friends, get better at beta, and prepare for sc2 . i really really need it. i have been trying since 2009 to get a key...

Oh and yeah Good luck..whoever gets it, cherish it

I'd like the key because I have been waiting around 7 years for the beta, and have yet to experience it.

I am very active on IRC and have TheoryCrafted with a lot of the people in beta, but have not once begged for a key in #teamliquid, since it is annoying to the players.

If I had a key, I could try out all those build orders and strategies that I have been reading up on.

I haven't played Starcraft for very long, just a couple of years, and I've never gotten very good at the game since I took it seriously about a year ago. I always feel really nervous in a real game facing somebody else in BW. I don't know how many single player games I've played getting half decent macro and kept my minerals below 1000, played pretty well, imo, and just to stop using my keyboard entirely and mouse everything in a real game. I've played several hundred games, and watched even more VODs of progamers. I really like watching Kal play, even though I don't play protoss. Now, I'm so disappointed in my play that when I go on Starcraft, I usually just play some UMS or some sort of fun map instead of a serious game. I hope that a chance in getting SC2 key will give me a head start at being half decent in the real SC2 so I won't be so bad in this game.

I guess, though, my reason is kind of greedy, so I probably won't get the key. Congratulations to whoever gets the key, and I hope you, Cham, have a fun time playing the game too ^^.

Here's the thing for me. I could just wait for it in a couple of months. I don't mind the wait. And it's not really the money that bugs me. I mean it's gonna be 50$ for the game. That's like, going to an all you can eat sushi bar twice. It's the fact that blizzard didn't give me and others who've had sc, sc bw, and or the sc anthology for 5,6 10 years. The fact that we weren't able to partake in the collective joy of dipping our toes in the sequel of our beloved game along with the other real fans of the franchies.It feels like I'm being rejected from my own damn club. I doubt half of the people who were given the beta keys teared up during Savior's fall from grace, or stayed up till 6AM during exam week to catch the OSL finals. So that's why I would like the beta key.

That and my sister is dying of cancer and told me her dying wish was for me to win a beta key through one of these random TL contests.

I'm not the best Starcraft player, in fact I'm pretty mediocre, but I do have a certain love for the game, and, despite my terrible APM and my complete inability to multitask, I do have an enormous ability to sponge up and memorize vast amounts of theory and academic knowledge. Ideally, I'd just throw down the five dollars for a pre-order and call it good, but I'm living on a fixed income and I have to save up what I can to take my cat to the vet for his bad hips, so I'm taking shot at various contests and having generally poor luck at them.

For whatever it's worth, I'd be entirely willing to friend-list my benefactor and play a few games with you. It would be the very least I could in repayment for such generosity. I've got a friend I'd let use the account now and then until we can secure him his own beta key, and I don't know if he'd be as generous, but I'd certainly nudge him in that direction.

I'm crossing my fingers that you'll choose me, but, even if you don't, your generosity to strangers like this is vastly appreciated. ^^

I cant preorder sc2 because my parents wont let me get a credit card and they feel unsafe ordering things online with money in any circumstance!!! (i'm 17 wtf!). I loved playing broodwar and I also love learning builds (and practicing them exstensively) and will game basically anytime that isnt school hours. Also i dont really care about losing (my record on uswest is 88/168 with most of my losses coming from regames vs clanmates and friends that I knew were better than me) so i'll play with you right after i finish tonights homework if you want.

Also im writing a "choose your own topic sort of paper" on starcraft for my english class and would love to incorperate sc2 into it as well. The paper is mostly filled with funny experiences I played vs random opponenets on US west. It would be so cool if i could include my placement matches for sc2 in this paper but the paper is due in about a week and i have no idea how i am going to get a key!

To be honest, I really just want to get involved in the SC2 Beta community and gain experience and not just from a game replay watcher point of view or an avid video follower. I partake in a healthy amount of SC2 talk, mostly lurking mind you, but I do watch commentaries and livestreams when I can. Granted I am not an exceptional high rank player, I don't devote insane amount of hours to the game, nor do I have a impressive display of mouse speed/control. But, I do read comment, I do look through Blizzard updates, and I try to offer any knowledge that may prove useful. Don't take this the wrong way either, I am not a poor or cheepskate new poster trying to gain a key through pure spamming/begging on give-a-way threads. I know the effort and importance SC2 is, and the work it takes to make it (Recently took a GBA programming class). I actually pre-ordered SC2 Beta (from Best Buy) to show my support to Blizzard. As luck would have it though, Best Buy sent out bad keys, Source.
Btw If anything comes of this, you bet I will post a contest here.

I would seriously appreciate this key.

tl;dr I am not a high level, super fast, long time player, but then again, If I was, I wouldn't be asking for a key now would I?

I had the best time of my life playing Starcraft one. Meeting people online, gaming, making friends, I actually went to Florida, Jupiter to meet this kid I gamed with. We played SC for about 2 years, then got to chill and meet some of his buddies it was awsome. StarCraft opens so many doors, I really miss that scent of nastalgia as broodwar is slowly dying out. I want to have that original starcraft one feeling come back! It'd mean a lot if you could help me reconnect that feeling. Thanks for listening.

Adding you as a friend and playing games with you on SC2B would be the least you could ask. Can't guarantee that my skill level is what you'd be looking for, but I want to learn and would love to get a shot at SC2B.

Alright, here it goes.

First off, I want to say that if I do win this key, it won't be for me. I'll be giving it to one of my close buddies that I've been friends with for a while. He's actually a fellow clan mate of mine.

Most of the time he's quiet and reserved but, here and there, he'll crack a really funny joke. Instead of talking, or "chatcrafting", he's making the best use of his time by playing lots and lots of games. He rarely gets angry when he loses and never brags when he wins. Not to mention, he really likes to observe other people playing as well, sometimes it doesn't feel the same when he isn't in the game to ob.

To me, it feels like he really loves SC for what it is. It's just unfortunate he didn't get a key along with couple others while the rest of our clan got a key one way or another. While I was busy playing SC2, him and few others were on BW still being as active as before. I don't want to make this as lengthy as it already is, so I just want to say I really want him to get on SC2 with the rest of our clan. It feels like we're missing a piece. I would love for him to try SC2 and enjoy it as much as he enjoys BW. Anyways, thanks for reading and thanks for this opportunity!

I don't post too much here on TL, but if I were to get a beta key, I would put it to terrific use, seeing as I just finished my finals and I have a bunch of free time left 8D

Congrats to Warrior Madness, sounds like he shares the same love that I do for the SC community. Not that all you others do not, but I was basing my choice solely on what was said here. Thank you all for the nice entries, it makes me happy that I actually got thoughtful answers instead of witty one liners.

*On a side note - before I pre ordered the game, I ordered a beta key for 20 bucks off ebay. I don't know if it is already used or not, but if it isn't I shall be doing another one of these contests to try to give back more to my favourite community. Thanks everyone!
