This story starts out one week ago, with my dad asking me what he calls a "big" favor. It turns out one of his colleagues and the daughter of his colleague, both mathematicians, are coming to visit from France in the near future, and while my dad was in France, Caroline (the daughter) cooked for him. So, he wanted to return the favor. Turns out he intended me to cook the entire time. I consider myself a fair hand with food, no genius to be sure, but I do all right, and I have fun doing it.
Now all of a sudden, I'm cooking for a pair of french people, who know their food and are very particular about it. Fuck.
I spent all week racking my brains for some recipe I had to impress, but came up short. My cookbooks had failed me, and I was staring down the barrel of failure, and at 3 AM, surfing teamliquid was not going to help me.

In short, they loved the pork fillets, and want me to cook for them more. So, Plexa, I owe you one. If I ever meet you, you're getting a bottle of wine. (The pork is pretty damn good if I say so myself, nice and simple!)

I love Plexa ^_^ Saved my butt too. Had my Dad's boss coming over and I had to cook because everyone was out for the night and I was left alone  They loved the food though Thank You Plexa!!
