I was always convinced that players sometimes "fixed" their match to avoid team killing. So doing it for money seems like the next logical step.

When there's money there's always be some kind of abuse.

Basically Stork's group games in WCG 2007 (I think it was 2007..., maybe 2008).

Would you mind enlightening me on this subject?

Oh... Stork was playing either Lx or PJ, and whoever lost the game would avoid playing Jaedong right away. The Chinese player and Stork were clearly both trying to throw the game, but Stork didn't try hard enough and ended up winning.

It was a really funny replay to watch.

it was Lx vs Stork...

Koreans are doing this every time at WCG to avoid own players... It's so common for them.

Lx asked referee to give up that game... But referee said give ups are not allowed. Lx tried to play standard, but when he sees that Stork expanded his 3rd Nexus with only few dragoons, Lx typed GG and left >.<

you really can't blame them for that, u just have to blame WCG for making the future bracket slots public information instead of just waiting for round 1 results then randomizing it

WCG = retards

Actually if it was 2007 you are talking about it was WhiteRa and the other player in the 3 way tie was Ex from russia.

WhiteRa kept beating Stork and Stork kept beating Ex and Ex kept beating whitera. Eventually it broke up after something like 4 tiebreakers.

They should've both lost all their units and minerals and then made it called a draw! =D

Up and Lux were both kicked off the A team. It's not much of a stretch to think something very strange is going down.

If we can accept that cheating might be going on, it is a very, very small step to suspect damn near everyone.

Also if you think about it, there is really no reason to kick Upmagic. It's not like he's been playing terribly.
