I awoke this morning so ignorant
Unaware of my new predicament
I happily began my day with no worry
I rubbed my tired eyes to rid them of their blurry
I sat in my comfy black leather chair
I ran my fingers through my pillow-head hair
I logged onto facebook and began to socialize
Then opened winamp to be met with a surprise
To my dismay, shock and instinctual fear
I couldn't interpret sound, I could no longer hear
No no! it wasn't my ears that were to blame
It was my speakers, they were not the same
I panicked and reached to the back of my table
I needed to know if the connection was still enabled
It was connected! My mind began to trouble shoot
But no matter my efforts, the speakers remained mute
I was lost, in a plunge of depression
I couldn't live with this. I was surely undone
Since then, I've come to my senses
I've come to terms with my new expenses
I've learned a lesson that made me briefly cry
That all speakers, good or bad, eventually die

Christ, this is how I experienced reading this:
- hmm, looks like something bad has happened, maybe this guy is writing a eulogy
- oh wow, this is a bad poem, why is he rhyming like a rapper, this is terrible
- shit I can't say anything bad about it because he lost a friend
- Oh shit I don't think he lost a friend I think he's become deaf, wow...that means all he has left are his terrible word skills...poor guy. Better find something nice to say to him
- Oh right, his speakers are broken. Ok then that just plain sucks 1/5.

Because he starts the drama, then goes on to say he logs onto facebook where you normally get messages from friends(maybe 2 people had the same friend?)..
Then proceeds to say that he can't hear anything(though I must admit that I didn't get the impression that he got deaf here)..
