Alright better late than never I guess.
2 Weeks ago Georgia Tech and UGA, THE GREATEST RIVALRY IN ALL OF GEORGIA, played each other in the CSL. Because a lot of us at GT are good friends with half the UGA team, they came over and we LANed it out in what can only be described as probably the only LAN CSL match ever.
After some delays we got started about an hour and a half late (apparently because the UGA guys wanted to eat before coming over and made us wait around the whole time -_-). We started off with the 1st match of the night between UGA]Buga and gt.redrum. This was probably the closest matchup in skill and was easily the most entertaining match of the series, with buga edging out a eventual victory off of a gas steal and early zeal harass into DTs into 4 bases (with a manner 2-gate in his base for good bm measure as well). redrum put up a good defense but ultimately lost to UGA lameness.
Set 2 put myself up against one of UGA's white boys (UGA]fly.stat) who stayed home instead of coming over for a LAN so we played over ICCUP (me Z vs him T on moon glaive). In typical UGA fashion he goes for a proxy BBS. I expected cheese and opened 12pool. After about 10 seconds where it was unclear if I would win, I clean up the bunker rush and attack his proxied barracks with speedlings. After he lifts I send my lings (and a drone for manner hatchery) to take out his main. He GGs before the manner hatch can go down.
Set 3 sees A- Zerg MasteRasia facing off against the other UGA white boy who stayed home UGA]tredmasta (P) on outsider. The game is one of the most 1-sided rapes I've ever seen and after 10 minutes it's over.
Set 4 sees nogardeci vs UGA]Eyes in a PvP on matchpoint. Just last week nogardeci lost to eyes in a practice game so I was pretty sure he would lose again and encouraged him to DT rush before the game started. Instead he opts for a 4 gate and ends up defeating eyes who was unable to scout it. GT wins 3-1.
After the matches we all hang out for a couple hours with the UGA guys and LANed and ordered pizza. It was a blast and I can't wait to LAN again in CSL :D

Looks like you guys had fun! Is that the same room the LAN is in? Did you go to the last one?
My friends and I decided not to go to lans anymore due to a lot of things but mainly cuz its run by morons with shittier prizes every year. Anyway hope to see you around sometime when I'm visiting tech!

you should come to the next GT gamefest, we're running the SC tourney now

we might do some showmatches between roudu and chang during the winners league finals party in 2 weeks

I considered setting up one of these with Duke last season, since the four hour drive is doable in a day, but because we played them in the season opener, there was no time to organize. Oh well, hope to see more of these in the future!
Wish we had enough players to keep the NRCC team going... Oh well, considering my grades last semester, it's probably for the best anyways.

some guy from GSU tried to start a CSL team for it but never found ANYONE else from the school to join lol
