I have been here since 2003 and I enjoyed nearly every minute of it. I've got to compete in wcg, meet eriador, day, testie, draco, that weirdo excalibur, and alot of other awesome guys ...(fakesteve is the coolest man to ever wear an iron maiden shirt ... ask him about my DT like headlock).
I have played with gamers from all over the world, from iloveoov and nada to oystein and nony. I have spent countless hours watching vods, talking strategy and most of all loving starcraft.
During this time I had a child, a boy named Elliot Andrew Harris who will be turning four this april, I got to spend the first two years of his life working parttime and being a fulltime dad, it was a life changing experience.
During this time I had a dream, that I would own a company outright myself, a retail store.
Last June 27th I opened my first store at the sunrise mall in citrius heights,ca with one thousand dollars on someone elses credit card and a word of mouth loan for $2,700 dollars in product and display.
After six mouths I closed my store in sunrise to reopen in the Westfield Galleria in Roseville.
Still with no credit or capital I managed to convert a store that cost a thousand dollars a month to rent to one that cost in the neck of 3~ a month.
I opened jan 15th with a partner. One month and six days later without a day off today I payed 3,000 dollars and bought out my partner.
I now own Shoe M.G.K in the roseville galleria alone with no debt, no boss and nothing but the marketability of my product and the personal service that I render to each customer.
I have spent alot of time here and enjoyed every moment of it but tomarrow I go to work entirely for my son and myself and I can't look back any longer at the years I've lost in this game or the weeks on this forum.
Tomarrow I will wake up and be Gary R Harris, Dad and Owner/Operator..... tomarrow there is no Attackzerg.
Congrats on your success Gary but isn't it when you're doing well for yourself that you can justify killing time on bw. When you're struggling it's time you shouldn't be wasting but if you're winning at life you should enjoy the rewards. Also paid. Man that annoys me. Congrats on your son too. How old is he?

Sigh... It is really depressing reading through all these threads... AttackZerg, LighT, Gretorp, Luckyfool... It just seems as if I'm losing friends, not that I even know any of you at a personal level. But all of which have impacted me through this forum. Glad to hear of your success, hope you continue to do well, maybe one day you'll be back.

I speak from family experience that when you run your own business, unless it becomes uber successful, you don't get off-days. Especially in this particular economy. I'm sure he'd love to stay, but would probably be better-served if he didn't relax on TL. Not to mention his family.
But I digress.
Congratulations man, and good luck in future endeavors.

This exactly =).
Thanks for the well wishes guys. I hope to one day comeback and find out that bw lives on dispite sc2.
/tear .... well thirty minutes until tomarrow later guys.
Sad to see you quit BW, tho I guess you have been kinda retired for almost a year now since I have barely ever seen you online, but nice seeing that you got your dream together, enjoying life and getting your priorities correct. Been great knowing you and having played countless games with you, when I think about it kind of funny that we met through a challenge where you did not believe any toss could beat you with 120 apm back in 2008. Those were some good times. :p
Not much else to say than I wish you good luck in life and with your company, and that its been great having you as a friend!
PS. You know how to contact me if you ever feel nostalgic :p
