Glad nothing big got stolen.
You live in a crime-filled neighborhood?

Well that sucks. They didn't take anything besides the change jars, that's kind of weird? One of my friends has a weird change fetish or something, he never uses change and just stores it in a jar, I think at last count he had 700-800 just for the loonies and toonies.

Ah that sucks.
I remember coming home one day to find the house had been broken into. Nothing too major was stolen, but the house lost the feeling of being 'home' for a while. It felt less safe and secure, even somewhat defiled.

LOL, I have a relative just like that.

My apartment in college was broken into during break one year... one of my idiot roommates didn't lock the window to his room and so they entered that way (first floor). Then they went into the next room, a double which was unlocked at the hallway, and weren't able to get into my single or my friend's because we locked our bedroom doors :3
We speculated it probably was one of them who did it for insurance money or something... person A made out like a bandit and hated person B... and person B's clothing was randomly taken and nothing else from that room hahaha

I thought this kind of shit didn't happen in Canada. That's really unfortunate. It reminds me of that stupid Michael Moore documentary where he goes up to Canada and "finds out" people don't lock their doors up here!!!!!! woooww!!!! Well so much for that.

It's not like we magically have no crime or anything up here. After all, there are quite a few American immigrants. =P

Burglary sucks.
I remember 6 years ago, I came back home from a great party including a shitload of beer. I was alone at our house, I decided to listen to music, so I tried to turn our HiFi System. Nothing happended. I didn't realise it was completely gone.
After this I turned on the TV for watching a DVD. DVD Player was also stolen. Finally I realised that someone broke in and took away all those stuff.
I searched for the phone to call the police, but it was also stolen. After calling the police using my mobile I took my clothes off and fell asleep. 15 min. later the police ringed the door bell and I opened just wearing a boxershort...some weird experience at all, someone sniffed around in my house, opened everything and so on..a bad feeling!
Things stolen: - drill WITHOUT charger oO - Phone WITHOUT station :D - 5.1 System WITHOUT boxes (just the center and subwoofer, yeah enjoy..^^) - DVD Player + 15-20 Movies
I was really pissed off about the drill though, very good stuff..

Nobody was hurt, thats all that matters.

If someone broke in with me and I have been there, I would have killed them with my sword

Where do you live? Surrey?!
Who steals change jars T_T
But yeah, burglars are terrible. My friend had his hockey net and ~3 hockey sticks stolen out of his driveway by some two asshats. He got to the door just as they were pulling out of his driveway in a pickup truck.

Update: Lame, something definitely was taken. I won't say what, just so the information isn't available online.
