Haha im 5'8" 120 pounds and i can hold me shit as well.
I think its just the way your body is made up.
I've met girls before who were trashed off 3 beers and girls who are tipsy after like 10 shots.
It just depends on ur body.

And as far as sports i believe asians aren't as talented naturally. However they can push their bodies many times farther than everyone else.

It's overhyped. At half the strength of vodka you'd expect it to have half the strangth of taste, but most non-Koreans report they prefer vodka.

Yep, Vodka taste alot better.
But drinking soju when having Korean BBQ with some friends in a cozy restaurant in winter is superb. I love the way Koreans give respect to older when they pour them the drinks.
And younger Koreans have to turn their head not to face the older while they emty their cup, very strange, but cute

Really? I actually think that entire part of the culture is stupid.

theres nothing smart/stupid about that, its just custom.

It is a custom. It is stupid.

I think it's stupid taking off your hate when saying the pledge of allegiance

To some extend Chill is right, sometime the respect elder things is stupid if people take it too seriously.
In my school, there are some Koreans guys that FORCE those younger than him to do his homeworks, or even take exams for them. And I think its way out of hand. But that just some jackass , I dont think they can represent the Koreans.
Anyway, in Asian culture, respecting elder has always been a very important part. But it goes to utmost at Korean and Japanese culture I think.
Despite the fact that this custom is originated from Confucius teaching in China. In China nowadays, it is fading away, Chinese is growing colder and colder with each other, and that is sad.

Why is that sad? It's a good thing. It's ironic that you need to comply with a set of rigid rules to love your parents.

I think you might got your impression from the fact that Koreans and Japanese bow to each other.
Chinese do not bow easily, we only use this custom to honor someone REALLY worthy of respect or to the dearly departed.

Body mass is way way overrated. It's all about tolerance build through habituation. Body mass is obviously a factor but a big guy that isn't used to drink will generally get trashed sooner than a skinny guy who drinks regularly.

It really is overrated. I find it odd that people still believe that the bigger you are, the better you can handle alcohol.

do you really believe that small people cant get drunk faster? Obviously there are tolerances for EVERYONE. Smaller people can get fucking hammered off several shots where as a bigger person will tend to need more. Obviously its not a hard rule but if everyone is an experienced or inexperienced drinker ill say its pretty much gold. Comparing some little guy who drinks every day to a huge fat guy who drinks once a year will obviously lead to the huge fat guy getting drunk faster most of the time.

Ive met plenty a 120lb girl who claimed she could drink a lot on her own accord and they usually end up puking or blacking out faster than the 200lb males.

To the people who don't believe that size affects your alcohol tolerance, do you also believe that the Earth is flat? It's pretty simple logic... If you take a 200lbs dude who drinks 5x a week and put him up against a 150lbs dude who drinks the same and give them both a bottle of the same booze, the bigger dude's holding his own better 99 out of 100 times.

I'm saying that it's not a say-all-end-all when bringing up weight.

The post that I quoted stated the exact same thing as you...

EDIT: Eh reading back at what it said I realized it seemed that way

I used to think I just had low tolerance, but I've gradually come to realize that in fact everyone in my family (parents, siblings, myself) has this ALDH2-deficiency. It was really weird though..coming to the realization that all those times I thought I was experiencing the effects of alcohol I was actually experiencing the side effects of this deficiency. I've been a social drinker for a few years now, and despite my efforts to increase my tolerance, whenever I drink I always get bad headaches, an increased pulse, feel out of breath, get extremely drowsy...even though I'm not drunk and can think and behave normally. I thought feeling this way was normal lol, and that drinking was essentially an unpleasant past time and that I just had to man up and learn to ignore the painful headaches and extreme fatigue. But I guess to many the effects of drinking are not so unpleasant?!!

Side story: This whole deficiency thing can be quite inconvenient though. An example- a month or two ago I went with a friend to a Party Rock concert. There were 5 acts or so, and after about the 3rd act in my friend demanded that I get pumped up and drunk with her. So she ordered shots. LMFAO was the biggest and final act, but by the time they got on, I could barely stand up. Not because I was drunk, but because I was suddenly overwhelmed with extreme drowsiness haha. So when LMFAO took the stage and started performing, I was hanging onto the rail fucking struggling not to FALL ASLEEP. Picture this as when you're in class and trying not to dose off during a lecture, but instead at a crowded club with crazy lights and the smell of weed in the air and a mad concert happening on stage. I thought something like this would be impossible. haha FML.

EDIT: Asians are ninjas. Ninjas are awesome. Therefore asians are awesome.
