At the beginning of each Iccup season we all set our goals. For some people its A+, or Olympic Rank, for some more moderate rank. I myself am mostly a 2/2 East user. I have my allies/ friends on East. It's really nice and all, but I haven't been improving in forever. Therefore I decided to only concentrate on Iccup.
My goal for this season is 1/1 B- with, I know it's a hard task since im C-/C Zerg player but since I won't have school I think it's achievable.
Do you have any tips except for mass gaming? If anyone would like to practice with me please MSG me. I will play mostly starting 10 AM EST. Sometimes very late like 12 AM EST.
Wish me luck!!!!

I watched Will Smith's advice about being willing to die for what you believe in, and so I promised myself and my team I would commit suicide if I didn't reach C this season.
I arrived at work the morning following the season end completely fucked up, but I made it just barely in time.
My rank goal for next season is B- like your goal. My game goal is 1.5k games and my apm goal is 150 (eapm). We should play a lot of ladder games against each other ;-)
I'm a protoss who loves to PvZ.

I can mass game with you, one vs one mode

Good luck
It's a BIG jump from C-/C to B- though.

First and foremost ingredient of failure is to aim too high.

Yeah but if u set the goal too low you may achieve it fast and get bored/discouraged and loose interest. I know it will be very hard .

a good goal is determining how many games you are going to play a week and how many losses you are going to analyze each time. merely shooting for a high rank is not effective.

No, foremost ingredient of failure is to not being able to sustain what it takes to achieve it, lack of strong enough will/desire, which comes most often out of not knowing what does given achievement requires.
Anyways , B- isn`t too high aim.

Don't underestimate how big of a jump there is between ranks, especially once you start getting into the higher ranks. Going up 1 rank a season is an incredible pace.

people like you are ruining the ladder for casual gamers like myself, and I'm only semi joking.
ffs nowadays c- is like b- when Iccup just started.

ffs nowadays c- is like b- when Iccup just started. he wants to improve. You not being able to deal with the new and improved n00bs of yesteryear is not his problem

I knew I could make C. I don't know I can make B-. I won't toy with my life like that :D but I will practice almost as hard

1. Use Liquipedia. 2. Watch and analyze progaming VODs. Don't just be a casual observer cheering your favorite on, try to figure out why each player does what, what their timings are, and what strengths and weaknesses there are in the build. 3. Listen to Day[9]'s podcasts. Interesting for someone low-level like me (D/D+), but probably an incredibly useful tool for those who are beyond the "perfecting a single build order" stage. 4. Set up a LiveStream account and stream your games on TeamLiquid and ask for advice in real time. I went as far as to not only have livestream going, but also was on ventrilo with a C+ player who guided me through the game. My rank skyrocketed because of his help.

I'm VERY glad you reached C. Damn, lol, your family and friends would have missed you.
