Think of it this way. If you're C-, and if there are four seasons in a year, and if you can become pro once you get A+ (like IdrA) then, then you should be able to become pro within two years if you just gain one rank every year.

though i don't think i will reach B- or even C at that... i plan to play at least 30 games a day in the hopes of reaching at least 1000 games a month. with christmas break here i think i wont have that much of an issue getting that many games, now if only iccup would go back online... >_<

Don't underestimate how big of a jump there is between ranks, especially once you start getting into the higher ranks. Going up 1 rank a season is an incredible pace.

i think the difficulty of going up a rank increases with what rank you are trying to achieve. I've seen people go from D- to D+ in one season and others max out at B for several seasons in a row

and at the higher ranks u kinda need to spend more timeing playing b/c ladderin up takes longer so u to just get there u need more games, and to improve u need more games. :D but giving urself a goal is always cool, hlps u stay focused and prob increases ur abitlitiy on the lines that u are truly playign for sumthing

The difference in skill level between C-/C and B- is largely around how you play. If you're still cheesing every game, you ARE NOT going to be able to get to B- this season. If you played it out like me, playing the most legit way possible every game and learning from every game, shoot for the sky.

It's absolutely possible if you have a talent for the game and/or play a lot. I belive I went from C level, actually dipping into C- at the end of season 9, to reaching B- in season 10. (reaching B-, I was never actually a B- level player)
That season I played like 700 games and got a hot streak of protosses at the end, but I'm not talented and I didn't pick opponents. I guess it's even harder now though.

Good luck anyways, I'm sure you can do it if you really put in enough effort!

i already achieved my goal of A-. This season i will work on maintaining my skill level, increasing my knowledge, and having a better mentality (and therefore outcome) in clanwars and tourneys
