Okay so i've been a vegetarian since this september 2009, and i have noticed that whenever i take a shit my anus hurts as hell. And when i go examine the poop it doesn't look too big. I know your mom and my moms have said that eating veggies will help it go out easier, but this is not my case. I haven't ate meat (or very very little meat) for the past few month and whenever i take a shit it feels like a needle is stuck sideways between in my ass for a good hour. I know that cellulose in plants is not digestable for humans, but i didn't think it would hurt so much when i shit.
What can i do to help? drink more water?

hmm i have been replacing a lot of stuff with noodles/potatoes, and other high carb diet.... I'm thinking of cutting that back more.

Try eating Mangos and drink plenty of water. They will help soften your stool. Also you may have a hemorrhoid. Is there any kind of small bump back there? If so go to the doctor and he will prolly prescribe a quick 10 day cycle of oral meds to clear it up. Not a big deal.

Attempt to be serious: If you're eating mostly noodles and potatoes you're not getting much fiber. Fresh fruits and vegetables have lots of water and fiber in them. Nuts are also a fiber rich source for vegetarian diet.
