that is just stupid. and did i mention most of those bosses are immune to everything? yes, they're completely invulnerable. you have to wait and *hope* they drop an immunity for long enough to do some damage to them while they're blasting out insta-kill shots. just not my opinion of a balanced game | ||

On November 05 2009 01:48 danl9rm wrote: i think you read my sentence wrong :p i've already played median xl aww, sorry. here's the page http://www.freewebs.com/critterkiller/index.html . hmm, well, hell unleashed is a challenge. it's hard, the bosses regenerate if you go to town, die or don't hit them for 20 seconds. it's supposed to be a mp mod, but there's a sp version. there's some nice cube recepies that are not in median xl, like custom coloring your gear. green/purple/yellow barbarian ftw!! :D on the minus side, you can't buy town portal in single player (they only drop), in MP there is no town portal. dungeons are larger. some new dungeons. skills are the same, but somewhat more balanced. there's new music, very very nice and atmospheric. a lot new monsters (more than median). somewhat changed effect of stats on dmg life etc. you can buy runes/gems. gems can be upgraded beyond perfect. new/changed items, new runewords. can craft some items. that's about what I can remember. | ||

Well at least for me it works every time. You just have to select character as if it wasn't expired. IF your character name was not overwritten (i.e. nobody created a new character with a name identical to your expired character) then your character will be instantly recovered! This is how I got my characters back every time I re-install D2 (I'm on USEast) so if your character names are funky/contains guild tag/whatever, high chance you'll be able to get your characters back. Recovered characters from 2 years ago this way. | ||
