I actually have no idea about this specifically, but because they are just wires, logic tells me if there is a solid connection throughout it will work properly. | ||

The main problem is making sure its a strong enough connection so that pulling lightly on it doesnt short it out again | ||

cut out the damaged area, get some wire strippers.. or carefully use a knife and cut off the plastic insulation.. there is going to be more then one wire inside.. separate all the different wires. do the same thing for the other side.
