Last session of my first tattoo, colors are still bit dark, but will be lighter when its completely healed.
+ Show Spoiler [finished results] + + Show Spoiler [first session] + Important things: - Cranes stands for wisdom and loyalty (probably alot more, but i picked these 2) - These are cranes - There are 5 of them - Normally cranes has red on top of their heads, but the biggest one on my back has green + Show Spoiler [Example of a crane] + - my english isnt that well
Story and meaning behind My back piece has a couple of stories and meaning behind, the most important one its a memorial piece for my brother, he past away when he was at an age of 16. Before he left us, we were a close bonded family of 5 members, even in the biggest fight, we had with eachother in the family, would always be cleared in the next day, and my brother would always stand for me when i get bullied at school, even the older ones. Our days always ended with a smile on our faces, even in the hardest times, we were a loyal towards eachother. Since the day he left us, the bond between 4 us, started to fade away.
By the time i was 14, ended up walking the bad path of my life, and started to smoke, do drugs, kicked out of school, fought alot, mainly because i was so confused in my mind and i lost someone very close to me and i couldnt get any support from my parents, my sister of anyone else. i walked this path for like 4 years, so my parents sended me to Hong Kong, and i ended up there working and living on my own for almost a year, so i could clear my mind, and see what reality is. (for the people that doesn't know, working in Hong Kong is alot harder, compared to The Netherlands) Working 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, going out with friends who were on vacation there, friends and family talked some sense in me, and finally brought me back to the right path of life. I stopped smoking, didnt do drugs anymore, i became more relaxed towards people, became alot more wiser.
2,5 years later, the bond between 4 us got a lot better, but still not the same as then, so i ended with this tattoo as second reason a motivation piece to get back the old times and be loyal towards eachother again, and a motivation piece for wisdom, so wont walk the the bad path of life ever again.
As you can see, the 5 cranes stands for our family members, the one with the green on the top of the head stands for my brother, because his favorite color was always green. as a fun part, my brother also played starcraft, and because of him, i ended up playing starcraft aswell ^^

It's really really nice, but seriously, the story behind this please?! I wouldn't be able to see myself getting crane birds as a tattoo and especially that big.
|
why did you get such a big tattoo for your first?
|
Wow, that's pretty sick!

IMO, tattoos usually look terrible, especially big ones
this one however, is quite nice.

Looks amazing dude. I have wanted to get a tattoo for years, although I have yet to think of a design that suits me. I absolutely love travel, I just can't for the life of me think anything that could symbolism my love for travel.

hi5 your artist thats a sick job and nice meaning man
i only got one and i plan on a 2nd soon, but i think shading is the worst (id imagine its a lot like coloring) outline isnt that bad unless theyre going over bone, but shading is just deep and in between areas taht area already sore from getting raped by the line work
what was the total time and was it one session??
|
it took me 7.5 hours in total and it was made in 2 session ^^ going for my second probably in march or something
|
Really cool tattoo. And it has a nice story behind it, even though it's a sad one.

You're crazy. Outlining is a lot more painful then shading. :O
|
That's the best kind of tattoo, original, got a backstory, means something to you as an individual...nice work.

Kang Min would love that one.
|
Song Byung Goo would love it more. Birds look like STORKs
|
how the hell did you dig that back up?
|
A very well presented tattoo, I like the background, and the detail on the cranes is quite accurate.
The story behind it is one that justifies the importance of remembrance. 5/5

Nice tattoo - its very unique
