Well it's not exactly the same. You have the possibility to watch a diffrent matchup, and since it will involve diffrent players it will involve diffrent styles and play.

Not saying a BO7 would be boring because of that, but I kinda agree with it can be abit tireing even to just watch.

BO5 is the perfect format for big games imho.

Voted BO3 for R16 and BO5 after that.

imagine 7 zvz games in a row, which as of late would be very possible
or 7 tvts lasting until sc2 comes out
7 pvps is not so bad (for most people), but it's the least likely to happen imo

plus, whats wrong with the traditional bo5 finals? it's not like it's broken right now or anything

I really don't like Bo7's. I can't explain why, but I just don't feel the same excitement about them compared to a Bo5.

I think it should be bo5 all round with potentially a bo7 finals. There's so much money on the line I want to be sure the best players win. I remember during TSL 1 in the first round Cloud played JF. Cloud lost 1-2. One of the maps was othello and cloud had a starting location that put him at a disadvantage and he lost the game and the series. I think with a bo5 this would be easier to avoid.

Also, why do people keep saying bo7 would be boring. How awesome would a bo7 of Idra vs Ret be in the finals. Boring ??? are you crazy. They played 2 bo5s in one day for the ESC finals for a total of 9 games and everyone was just talking about how good it was. A bo7 finals would be so epic and it would not be boring because both players would be practicing so hard to make the thousands of dollars.

I think bo5/bo7 finals would be better for the better players winning and the epic matches being more epic.

Idk what the format of the ro16 is but if its groups do bo3 and if its just 1v1 do bo5.

Just my opinion but I strongly feel this would be best for the players and the viewers. People saying too many games would get boring??? And you call yourself sc fans, you gotta be kidding me.

While I'd love to see two great players in a TvZ (favorite MU) Bo7, the thought of seven ZvZ games isn't pleasant. That said, I still hope Bo3 -> Bo5 -> Bo7 wins and we don't get a mirror finals

Boring isn't exactly the right word. Exhausting is more like it. A Bo7 TvT, for example, could easily average 40 minutes per game. If it goes seven games that'd be 280 minutes of playing, which is four hours and forty minutes. That doesn't include pregame and breaks inbetween games too.
